Okay. Hello, everybody. My name is Roxanne Madison, and welcome to Module 1, Getting Rid of the Excess. I am so excited to get into this topic because, as we know, as humans, we only have so much capacity in our lives to filter information for friends, for nourishing relationships with our partners, our children, ourselves, our goals, cooking healthy meals, so it's so important to do this audit in your life in order to make more space for what's supposed to be there. So this is the sort of foundational work. We're weeding out the garden bed. We're wanting to take out the weeds, the jacaranda tree, if you like, to plant the orange tree, the tree that we want to be there and get fruits from. Because as we know, an overcrowded environment, nothing flourishes, so none of our friendships, no time with ourselves. So it's super important to do an audit on the different habits and friendships and different types of repetitive things that we're doing in our life because our time is just so precious. So I'm so excited to get into this with you guys and announce our first guest speaker, Shakira Jade. Shakira, I met at two business events. She just has this calm energy about her, this softness, which also shows so much strength. It shows strength to be soft and kind of on that energy of being on the same level as other people, not above and this sort of alpha. She has this sort of connectedness about her that she knows what she's doing, and I can only tell that that helps her lead in such a great way her staff because they feel they are on the same level. They feel that they are respected and that they can give her any feedback, information and perform because they're wanting to give back to that person who is giving so much to them. So with that welcome, Shakira, I'm so excited to have you on and talk about the different ways that a multi-million dollar CEO of multiple businesses can handle the excess in their life and how you audit it. So Shakira, I'd love you to jump on and introduce yourself and hear some information about your amazing businesses. It's absolutely amazing, and that's why I just knew I had to get on a CEO who has to handle multiple products, multiple staff, multiple shipping and logistics, and the importance of just how important it is to audit your day because you, more than anyone, or just as much as anyone, needs to know where your time is spent, and yes, I'd really love to jump in and have a chat to you about that. So in our action plan, we have a list of topics that you can go through in auditing your life. So the first one is clothes. So this one, it's just sort of weeding out the space around you. So clothes, I've done this multiple times throughout the year. It's just something I've done it like I schedule in like an hour after school pickup and before dinner, then I might say do the boys' room, and then the next day someone else's. But I kind of felt like that took a whole week. So for me personally, I love to just rip off the Band-Aid and schedule in the diary a weekend where I just tackle like getting rid of my clothes, getting rid of items in the house that just don't really fit your vibe anymore, and like how good does it feel when you bag up a bunch of clothes and you put it in the lifeline bin? Like you just automatically just feel so light. It is, absolutely. And it's also a great way that you can get together with friends as well. Like we sort of pre-launched this module and we had a clothes-swapping party. And it was just so much fun. The kids were involved. And on the weekend, actually, I'm going to a Whole Street Garage sale. So we're just going for a little bit of fun. Like the kids want to take some items down and just get some money in their bum bags. So yeah, getting rid of the clothes. I'd love to see everyone in this module having some fun with it and then knowing that when these clothes are gone and items in your house, then you have space to wear things that you really feel good in, that you really want to embody. Because what we're wearing really does make a difference into how we're wanting to step into the person that we want to be. Yeah, absolutely. So the second one on the list is friends. So this is a huge one, right? Because friends are just such an important and vital role in human beings to feel supported, connected, and a part of something. So it's really important we have to schedule in a time in our diary that we audit our friends list. So we sort of prompt people to think of your friends one by one and sort of ask yourself, are they kind? Do they uplift you? Do they make you feel depleted? How does your central nervous system feel around this person? And then we sort of move on to who do I want to spend more time with and how? Some ideas how. So we might have some ideas of we want to hang around more yoga and wholesome type people. So can we think of any friends that are into that and can we schedule in any time that we could invite them to it? Yeah. So I'd love to hear what you think about auditing your friends and how important it is in terms of supporting you in your businesses as well. Yeah, absolutely. I love that. And friendships, obviously, they're not linear. We've got two people involved and even though we might want to extend an invitation out to someone, it doesn't guarantee a yes and you're going to be the bestest of friends forever. Friendships can be sort of like this roller coaster of up and down. So what sort of ways do you, I guess, come back to that sense of self when you've had a lot of no from friends, a lot of disappointments, and from putting up your boundaries, what sort of ways do you sort of fill up your cup to sort of remind yourself the universe only provides for you, what it's meant to be? Yeah, that is so beautiful and I guess just that time to appreciate that time with self then. As much as we talk about friends and how important they are and which they are, they're not always available to us in ways that we want because other people have schedules and things. So it's really important too, I think, to change your perspective on things and think, well, I've set my firm boundaries and this is some really great time to listen to podcasts and to spend time with my best friend, which is myself. And then, yeah, as you said, when that right person comes along, then you can spend that energy in there and it's not sort of being used up in that time with people who don't align. And I think you always know when things don't align because they show up in ways of irritating you. So if things are irritating you, that's a sign of it's not aligning with my values. And so that's a really good way, yeah, I think, to audit if friends are in line with your values or not. So the next one is habits. So we have prompted to schedule in the diary 30 minutes to reflect on the habits that you're doing that aren't serving you. So things like scrolling on our phone is a huge one for everybody. So we sort of have a scan of, am I prone to excess worrying or thinking? And so I was having a chat with you pre-recording about, of course, we want to feel situations that pop up. It's so important for us to fully feel it and express it and we're not going to be just like, oh, water off a duck's back because I want to move on and be productive. We definitely do need that time, like worry gives us so much insight into a lesson to be learned. But there comes a point where it is a little bit detrimental. It's adding another problem because we've got the problem and then we've got the problem of been thinking about it for three days and ruminating and we haven't done anything else. So now we have two problems. We've got the initial problem and the time wasted. So yeah, I'd love to know, do you have any strategies in place for excess worrying? Because you obviously would have a lot of issues pop up with all your amazing businesses. So yeah, any tips on that would be great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I love that. And so the last one is, or second to last one, is talking. So conserve your energy and space for that which serves you. So it's sort of similar to the friendships, I suppose, but I know for me, I've got to drop and pick the kids up at school every day, and then all of a sudden I'm chatting to the same person every morning that I don't want to be talking to, and I've already expended my energy for output in that half an hour I've been at school on something that every day I've gone, oh no, I'm stuck here again. So I find talking is a really good audit. Like, who are you putting your energy out to and conserve your precious time and energy for that which serves you? And it doesn't have to be mean and cold and turning your shoulder, but just a simple, and I guess this is, like anything else, it's a practice, just sort of say, oh, I'm really sorry, I've got an appointment. I have to go. There's different sort of lines that you can use to conserve your energy and protect your energy as well. Beautiful. Yeah. Absolutely. I love that. And, you know, by all means, we're not saying, like, you know, don't do it, but if you're going to do it, close the talking off and only talk to who you plan because you can meet so many amazing people and conversations and learnings can pop up anywhere, but, yeah, it's more in alignment with, yeah, the people that you notice, yeah, like you're not getting anything out of that in the end conversation. Like, it feels nice, but it's not actually really gaining anything. So that time spent in, yeah, actually, you know, perhaps pre-planning that time with one-on-one with a person and it, you know, yeah, actually leading somewhere. So I love all that. So for me, photos is the last one. I'm a huge photo taker, so this is just a little thing I love to do, and it's similar to the clothes. It's almost like you subconsciously know they're all there, even if you've, like, hidden them in the corner of your cupboard somewhere. You just know when you get rid of them, you just feel really good, and I feel that way about photos too. So I like to do a little buy-in with social media. So before I look at it, I have to delete 40 photos, and that sounds huge, but it's actually super easy because a lot of my photos are fairly similar. It's just, like, things on a different angle, and I can't choose. So yeah, it's just, like, an easy one that I do, like, if I'm at an appointment and I'm about to pick up my phone and go on social media, I'll have a little buy-in and just get rid of 40 photos, and I just feel, like, just super light after that, and, yeah, it makes me feel really good. Yes, it's got, like, a whole bunch of mess in there, and you're like, oh, I saved that for, you know, wanting to make reference to a post, and now I don't even know where it is, and overwhelmed, yeah, with all your photos and screenshotting. Oh, I love that, because that's what I do. I take a photo, I screenshot, and then go, oh, where is it? Oh, I hope, you know, everybody has loved module one. It feels so light and spacious to get rid of, you know, once what was taking up so much room for what is meant to be there, you know, and I can't wait to hear what doors open for people, you know. It's just, like, the simple things that we were talking about before, you know, like, not scrolling on the phone in the morning gives you that time, it gives you that buy-in then to be present with your children, or, you know, giving up scrolling at night gives you that buy-in for time to perhaps go to a Zumba class and whatnot, so. And I am just ever so grateful that you have popped on. Your hints and tips and your knowledge is just, yeah, I'll try and, like, jot them down in the action plan as well and tweak it, yeah, otherwise people can listen and jot it down in their diaries to make into their action plan, because obviously, you know, we can listen to all the, you know, courses in the world and read all the books, but it's in the action, you know, that things take place, so I'm so excited to hear, yeah, what fruits from this for everybody. Yeah, and if anyone wants to find out more about Shakira Jade, her information will be in the comments, so, yeah, she's just a wealth of knowledge in the business space, so please do jump on and follow her up and, you know, see if, you know, anything else resonates with you. Thank you so much for your time, Shakira. I've absolutely loved it. Bye.
