The podcast is about arts integration and technology in the classroom. Arts integration is the investigation of curricular content through artistic exploration. It promotes critical thinking, addresses different learning styles, and enhances organizational skills. It can include music, dance, theater, and more. Technology integration in the classroom is the use of technology alongside art integration. The next podcast will discuss what it looks like to implement art integration and technology in a classroom. This podcast is called Arts and Technology in a Classroom. Hi, my name is Ruth Markovich, and this is going to be one of three podcasts that we are going to be talking about arts integration and technology in a classroom. That is a good question, Logan. The definition is that it is an investigation of curricular content through artistic exploration. Art provides an avenue of rigorous investigation, representation, expression, and reflection of both curricular content and the art itself. Well that means you can teach any subject and add a form of art to it. The difference between a craft and an art integration is that art integration is student-led. It has been proven that it promotes intellectual and critical thinking, and it addresses multiple learning styles and organizational skills. No, art integration is not just pictures. It can be any form of art, whether it be music, dance, theater, and drama. Logan, how would you define technology integration in a classroom? How would you say this relates or compares with art integration? Logan, what are some ways technology could be integrated in various classroom settings? Next podcast is going to be us talking about what it looks like for art integration and technology to be put in a classroom. This is Ruth Markovich, and have a great night.
