Dynamite was created by Mr. Nobel in 1867 for building, mining, and construction purposes. It is still used today in mining and has had an impact on the world by helping mine valuables and create roads. It has also been used for military purposes such as anti-tank mines and bombs. Hello, welcome to the podcast. We'll be talking about dynamite today. I have my guest, Ryan Beaubet. Hello. Okay. Alright, so I have a couple questions. Give them to me. So, when was the first dynamite created? It was created by Nobel, Mr. Nobel, in 1867. The same dude that made the Nobel Peace Prize. Yeah, I was about to say, I recognize that name from somewhere. Yes. Alright, so what was the dynamite, like, made for? Like, what was it, what was it mainly used for? Okay, yeah. It was made for, like, building, mining, constructing things, tearing down things, stuff like that. Just to make stuff easier for people to love it and, like, use it. Yeah, I got you. Um, so is it still, like, used in the world today? Yeah, it is. Um, it's still used in mining, a lot of mining, blasting hard rock, rock art, hard rocks. Um, uh, yeah, that was what I thought. Nice. Um, so did it, like, affect the world around us? Yeah, it did. It helped us, like, uh, mine valuables. Alright, how did it affect the world around us? Let's keep going. Helped us, like, uh, mine valuables, create roads, take down roads. Sorry about that. So, create roads, so do you mean, like, like, blowing up the parks, like, like, with trees and, like, stuff like that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, so you're making the foundation of the road first. Correct, correct, gotcha. Like, so they still use mining for, to mine? Yeah, like, they mine iron, coal. They still use that? I thought that was, like... No. I don't know, I thought they had, like, newer machines. So I guess we're just using, like, old technology that we used back then in the day. Yeah, or EMT. Um, so was it always used for the reason it was made? So, like, was it always used for mining, making foundations and roads, stuff like that? Or even, like, making land, I guess. Oh, yeah, it has been for military uses. Oh, okay. Like, sabotage, stuff like that. That's why it's stuck in my throat. You're good. So, say, like, it was used for military stuff. So that doesn't mean, like, to light it and throw it at people, or, like, drop it towards... No, like, for, like, anti-tank mines, anti-personnel mines, and bombs. Oh, so they used the idea of dynamite and turned it into, like, an even more, like, an environmental thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. More of, like, an environmental, natural thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, gotcha. So, all righty. Well, yep. Well, that's all the time we have today. All right, cool. Catch you later. See you later, alligator. I'll record.
