Mrs. V's x-ray on the right also shows a healthy kidney, but she has an unruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. X-rays help doctors see the shape and size of an aneurysm. This condition is called the silent killer because it has no symptoms and can rupture without being detected. It's important to get this test if you have abdominal or back pain.
