This piece, inspired by the polymodal movement of my inaugural string quartet from 1997, features the clarinet rendering a solo in Dorian mode, while the remaining instruments provide an Octatonic mode accompaniment. It's only in the concluding chord where the clarinet transitions to the same mode as the other instruments. Performers: The ensemble known as The Budapest Wind Quartet includes Flute: Ildikó Szabady Oboe: Márton Belek Clarinet: Hunor Egyed Bassoon: Kristóf Szilágyi
