Invigorating Departing for a performance amidst unresolved family tension, Bradley found himself in a room permeated with the musty scent of cigars. His desire was to dispel the metaphorical and actual smog. In a state of disinterest towards entertaining, he ventured into a personal improvisation. This act of spontaneity birthed the idea for the track. He further developed the song's blueprint during his respite, scribbling it down on a bar napkin.
