Details
This piano composition in ragtime style pays tribute to the breathtaking panorama from the final hill just outside of Denver, before one begins the descent into Boulder. The initial encounter with this view is etched in my memory. The western vista reveals the rear range of the Rocky Mountains, while the town below is dotted with the terracotta rooftops of the University structures. This piece attempts to encapsulate some of the grandeur of that scene.
