Fasting in Ramadan is a private and inner act belonging to Allah. It involves leaving desires and sin to attain detachment from falsehood. Recommended actions during fasting include eating the pre-dawn meal (suhoor) for spiritual strength, seeking forgiveness, delaying suhoor for better supplication time, and doing good deeds. Men should not let their lower garments drag below the ankle and should avoid sexual activity during itikaf. Fasting has three levels: general fasting, fasting of the elite, and fasting of the elite of the elite. The higher levels involve guarding one's eyes, tongue, hands, feet, and whole body from sin. Fasting is not just about food and drink, but also about refraining from all sinful actions. We Spoke About The Hadith Qudsi Somali Fasting Is Mine And That From One Point Of View It Is Mine As In Belongs To Allah Because It'S So Private And Secret And So Inner And It Is Allah'S Because Allah Gives So Much Power Through Fasting So For A Person To Become Allah'S And Leave Desires And Sin And Attachment And Attachment To Attain Detachment Of All Falsehood And That There Are Sunan Of Fasting, Sunan Is The Plural Of Sunnah Which Means Recommended Actions. For Example, Suhoor, Eat The Suhoor Because There Is Barakah In It. Which Is The Pre-Dawn Meal And When We Say Meal, It Doesn'T Have To Be A Meal, Dates, Water, Something To Give Strength To One'S Fast And Something To Give One Awareness At That Time To Perform Dua And In The Odd Case That Somebody Hasn'T Prayed The Witr To Be Able To Pray Witr Or Any Other Night Prayer And Seek Forgiveness About This Time Allah Ta'Ala Says He Describes And Praises There Are People Who Seek Forgiveness In The Suhoor Time. And The Practice Of Seeking Forgiveness After Doing Good Deeds Is An Interesting Practice Because One Considers Doing Good Deeds Is A Good Thing. But The Reason Why One Does Good Deeds After Good Actions Is Because Of Imperfections, Because The Fear Of Pride, Because The Fear Of Giving Oneself Attention Instead Of Thinking About Allah To Accept Your Actions. Sometimes The Person Can Be Tested With Pride. So Istighfar Which Means Seeking Forgiveness Astaghfirullah, Forgive Me, Forgive Me, Forgive Me. This Breaks One'S Pride. It'S Recommended To Delay The Suhoor, So One Can Do Suhoor Hours Before It'S Time. But It'S Up To Your Own, But It'S Recommended To Delay And That Delays For Our Benefit. And The Delay Also Gives Us The Best Time Of Supplications And It Ensures That We Can Get Up And Pray The Fajr In Congregation Or Alone In The Home. And It'S Recommended To Be Doing Good Deeds Whether One Writes Them Out Throughout The Day And Schedules Them Or One Just Performs Them Spontaneously. And To Do A Lot Of Sadaqah, Please Everyone. Yeah, Continue To Give Your Sadaqah, Perhaps Doors Will Open Up For Your Orphans And The Many Many Orphans Around The World, Especially In Recent Times In The In Huzur. Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Gives Them Assistance And Aid And Protection A Lot More, I Mean. And They All Spoke About To Follow Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam In All This Is The Benefit And In Addition It Implies Also The Actual Qualities That You'Re Developing. If Allah Accepts It, And To Study The Quran, When One Studies The Quran, You Become Aware Of The Realities That Allah Wants Us To Be Aware Of, Prophets, Jannah, Naar, Lessons And I'tikaf, Especially In The Last Ten And The Practice Is The Last Ten, Most That Permit I'tikaf, They Will Permit It For The Last Ten. In The Sahihain, Aisha Radhiallahu Anha, Sahihain Means The Book Bukhari And Muslim, The Two Sahihs, Meaning Al-Bukhari And Muslim. Aisha Radhiallahu Anha Is Reported To Have Said That Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, When He Entered The Last Ten Days, He Would Tie His Loin Cloth And Keep The Night Alive And He Would Wake Up His Family Members. The Author Says That The Ulema Mentioned That Tying One's Loin Cloth, Meaning One's Lower Garment, The Garment Which Is Worn Even Now In Many Eastern Countries, Which Goes From The Loin, From The Waist Down To The Ankle. The Sunnah For Men Is For It Not To Be Below The Ankle. And If It'S With Pride, It Is Not Permissible At All To Be Below The Ankle Or Above The Ankle, All Prohibited. But There Was Some Stubbornness In The Arabs In Jahiliyyah. They Wanted To Show That Long Garments Are Not Wasteful For Them. They Have Plenty. They Wanted To Show They Have Plenty. So They Would Wear Long Garments Under The Ankle Dragging Them Because It Was Immaterial To Them. So That'S A Sign Of Pride. So Islam Forbade This Practice. So For Men, For Long Garments, One Is Meant To Have Them Not Below The Ankle, Not Below The Ankle. When It Comes To Trousers, There Are Two Views. One View Doesn'T Allow It For Trousers As Well. The Trousers Should Be Not Below The Ankles. The Second View Is That The Hadith Are About Phobes And Lower Garments And To Do With Men As Well. So Men Are Permissible To Wear Trousers Below One'S Ankle. If One Wants To Be Cautious Then Okay, Then You Can Raise It So It Doesn'T Go Below The Ankle. Anyway, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Used To Tie The Mitzar. What Does It Mean To Tie The Mitzar? They Said That One Of The Meanings Is That He Would Turn Away From Women, His Wives. Tying The Mitzar Means That He Wouldn'T Expose Himself To Sexual Activity Because Now He'S Focusing Even To A Greater Level Of Attachment With Allah And Detachment From Dunya. And If You'Re In Itikaf, You'Re Not Meant To Have Sexual Intercourse. When You'Re In Itikaf, It'S Not Permissible. If You'Re Doing Itikaf, It Doesn'T Count As You'Re Doing Proper Itikaf, Which Is An Act Of Worship. If One Is Having Sexual Intercourse. So The Wisdom Behind The Prophet Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam Not Having Sexual Intercourse When You'Re Doing Itikaf Especially In The Last 10 Days Or The Interpretation That Tying Your Loin Cloth, Your Lower Garment Means To Avoid Women And Vice Versa. It'S To Focus Even More On Connecting With Allah Subhanaw Wa Ta'Ala, And Connecting With Jannah And It'S Like The Level Of Fasting Is Going To A Deeper Level. He'S Talking Of Course About The After Maghrib Because During The Day Of Course One'S Not Permissible. One Is Not Permitted To Have Sexual Intercourse At All. General Advice Is That If People Feel Sexual Desire During This Is A General Fasting Then To One Of The Advices That Scholars Used To Give Before Is To Go To The Masjid And Stay Away From Each Other. There Used To Be Poems Written About People Who Had Just Been Married And The Temptations They Might Feel Towards Each Other. So One Should Be Cautious, Very Very Cautious About Desire, Especially When People Are Very Strongly Attracted To Each Other And It'S A Test To Them To Guard Each Other Not To Fall Into Breaking The Fast In Any Shape Or Form. The Second Meaning Of The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam Used To Tighten His Loin Cloth. His Lower Garment Is That It'S A Euphemism For Working Hard And Extreme And Putting A Lot Of Effort Into His Action. That Ties In With The Understanding That As We Go Through Ramadan, We Become More Firmer And Firmer. Even Though We Are More More Drained Energy-Wise, The Resolve To Please Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala, The Resolve Wanted To Want Jannah For Those In Allah. The Resolve Every Night To Be One Of Those Who Are Freed From The Fire Every Night, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam Said Every Night There Are People Freed From The Fire. It Could Be You, It Could Be Me, It Could Be Your Child, It Could Be Your Wife, Your Husband, Your Uncle, Your Aunt. That Expectation Is One Of The Attitudes Molded Within Us Every Day. What Does It Mean Every Night? There Are People Freed From The Fire. It'S The Culmination Of The Fasting In The Day And Effort In The Night. That You're Continuing. So If You Do Get Together, Try To Pray, Do Pray All Your Taraweeh And There Were Times When People Used To Pray Taraweeh Without Any Complication. They Used To Pray And Come Back And Then If You Are Active In Islamic Work, Charity Etc. Then There Should Be Management Of Those Times So That Taraweeh Is Prayed. The Night Is Often Long. So It Still Can Be Prayed. But It Is A Very Important Part Of Our Development And Our Chance To Be Freed, To Be Emancipated From The Fire As The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Explained. Allah Knows Best. The Secrets Of Fasting And Etiquette. Fasting Has Three Levels. General Fasting, The Fasting Of The Elite And The Fasting Of The Elite Of The Elite, The Fasting Of The General People, The General Fasting. The General Fasting Is For One's Private Parts And One's Stomach To Be Guarded From Desire. No Food. What Does That Mean? Stomach, No Food, No Drink, Private Parts Means Sexual Desire. That'S General Fasting. It Is Giving Up Those Desires For The Sake Of Allah Subhana Taala, May Allah Reward And Accept. The More Special, For Want Of A Better Word, Of The Elite Is The More Special, The More Devoted One Is To Guard One'S Eyes, Tongue, Guard One'S Hands, Feet, Any Motion Where You Walk To And What You Strike And One'S Hearing And One'S Seeing And One'S Whole Body From Sin. So The People Who Have That Special Level Of Fasting That Was Supposed To Be Doing That Fast All The Time. Anyway, Our Eyes To Be Fasting From Wrong, Our Tongue To Be Fasting From Wrong And Backbiting, Gossiping Or Hurting People And Being Arrogant With One'S Tongue, Hands As Well To Keep Them In Halal Only And Keep Them In Touching And Holding Things Which Are Beneficial. So That The Feet As Well To Walk Towards That Which Is Beneficial To Use One'S Legs In Acts Of Obedience. Like Visiting Someone For The Sake Of Allah Or Someone Who Is Sick Or Going To The Masjid Or To Work Etc. And Coming Back From Work And Going To The Masjid And Back Again. One'S Eyes, To Use One'S Eyes For The Sake Of Allah And Etc, Etc, Etc. So You Could Say We Have To Do That Fast All The Time. Anyway, The Whole Dunya Is A Fast From The Haram. But What It Means Here Is That There Are Those People Who Don'T Eat, Don'T Drink And Might Have Sexual Intercourse, But They Still Are Probing Into The Things Which Are Haram Anyway. The Everyday Haram. So On One Level, They Are Pleasing To Allah Subhanallah And The Other Level, They Are Not Pleasing To Allah Subhanallah. So To Really Focus On It'S Not Just About Food And Drink And Sexual Intercourse, But Use The Training From Food And Drink And Withholding From Desire For The Other Things. There Are People Who Backbite Sometimes. So People Generally Decrease In Backbiting, But Some People Do Backbite, Some People Do Gossip, Some People Who Might Get Into An Argument, Get Into A Fight Or Use The Excuse That They'Re Tired And They'Re Weak For Not Being Patient. So If Fasting Makes You Irritable, Which Shouldn'T Be The Case, But If You Would Say It Does, It Has Made You Irritable Because You'Re Hungry, Thirsty, Perturbed And Not In Your Zone, Then More Patience And Be The Fast Of The Elite. Fast The Fast Of The Elite, Who Are Conscious Of The Non-Ramadan Issues And The Ramadan, Well, Let Us Say The Lifetime Issues And The Ramadan Issues. And The Elite Of The Elite Is All Aspirations, Which Are Lower Aspirations To Be Removed. All Are All Inclinations And Aspirations, All Thoughts Which Are Other Than To Do With Allah Subhanaw Taala And That Which Benefits To Be Removed And To Engulf Oneself To Allah Subhanaw Taala Completely. And All The Etiquettes, That'S A Huge Level To Engulf Oneself To Allah Subhanaw Taala, All One'S Thoughts And Motives Just For Allah Subhanaw Taala And It Gets Easier As You Push Yourself Into This, It Gets Easier. And As For The Fast Of The Elite, Lowering One'S Gaze, Guarding One'S Tongue From What Is What Harms People And Dislikes And Dislike And To Guard Yourself Then The Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Said In Hadith Which Is In The Bukhari, If You Don'T Give Up False Statements, If You Don'T Give Up Acting On Falsehood And Allah Has No Need For You To Leave Your Food And Drink, Showing That Allah Needs You, Allah Wants You To Guard Yourself From The General Haram As Well. Otherwise You'Re Focusing On One Thing And Not Learning What You'Re Focusing On Those Food, Drink And Desire For Which Is To Be Generally A Much Better Muslim Stays Away From Harms Of The Tongue And Harms Of The Hand. And Of The Etiquette Of Fasting Is Not To Fill Up Too Much At Night With Food, But Eat According To A Reasonable Quantity Of Food Because There'S Still There'S No Container As The Hadith Says Which Ibn Adam Feels Worse Than The Stomach. And If You Fill Yourself Up In Some Parts Of The Night, It Will Affect You In Other Parts Of The Night. And We'Ll Continue Inshallah.
