Letter to the Galatians

Although the Galatian Churches had started well during Paul’s first missionary journey around 45 AD, they were now in danger of departing from the Gospel that they had embraced. False teachers with a Jewish emphasis had come into the Churches after Paul had left. This makes it one of the earliest letters in the New Testament and possibly the earliest. This letter to the Galatians is remarkable in that it is the only one in which he does not give thanks but rather gets straight to his subject.
