Four be present, sometimes, the most compassionate thing you can do is simply be present with someone in their time of need. Sit with them, hold their hand, or offer a comforting presence without feeling the need to fix their problems. Whether it's serving meals at a homeless shelter, tutoring children or visiting the elderly, volunteering can make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Seven practice forgiveness, compassion involves extending forgiveness and grace to others, even when they may not deserve it. Let go of resentment and bitterness, and choose to forgive those who have wronged you. Eight advocate for justice, stand up for the rights and dignity of marginalized and oppressed communities.
