The library's customer service and community spaces are good, but the teen space needs improvement. They have trending spaces like a maker space and a passport station, but they could add more. The wayfinding is well done and the layout is good. They introduce ideas from bookstores and museums, which is standard. Their programming is great and they have a variety of resources for all ages. The library could improve their access. Overall, the Placentia Library is keeping up with trends but has room for improvement. Overall, for keeping up with the trends and services for a library, their customer service seems to be standard. Their community spaces have been greatly planned. Their teen space, though, does need a lot of improvement to make it more of a teen space. Their trending spaces are standard in that they have the maker space. The passport station is great, but there is more that they could be adding there. Their wayfinding has been done really well. It is a great setup. Their environment and layout has been well planned and executed. Their best practices of introducing things from other sources, like bookstores, museums, and other such public service places, are standard. Their programming is great. They seem to have a lot of stuff available for all different ages and groups, and their access seems to be standard as well, and there is some improvement that they could do there to increase that. But overall, I think that the Placentia Library is doing really well to keep up with the trends that are going with libraries, but like everyone, there are places that they could have improvement.
