Work relationships can be vague and ambiguous. Defining the ideal work relationship can create a foundation for people to work together. For example, checking in with teammates daily to offer help promotes cooperation. If someone wants a leadership position, they can increase their willingness to check in with teammates. This emotional attachment to change can serve them well in seeking the position. Again, relationships, work relationships, can be very vague, ambiguous, and nebulous. I love the thought of defining the ideal work relationship. It really creates a foundation for people to work together. Now again, let's go back to our prior example of, you know, one of the attributes being checking in with your teammates daily to see if they need additional help with their projects. Creates great cooperation and collaboration. Now when you think about a motivator, think about somebody who maybe isn't doing that as much as they could, yet they want to go for the team leader position, which might be a pseudo-leadership position underneath a manager. You can tie that motivator together with that ideal relationship attribute, such as John. What if you were to increase your cadence, your willingness, or action as it relates to checking in with your teammates to see what they need? How will that serve you well in terms of you seeking that team leadership position? Notice what I did. I took the attribute of a great ideal workplace relationship, and I tied it into the motivator, assuming you know what the motivator is. Once you do that, what ultimately happens is it creates that emotional attachment to change.
