England is facing their biggest test under Brendan McCollum as they go on a tough tour to India. They have named a squad with some uncapped test players. The bowling department is a concern, with only three definite options. They may miss out on picking a player like Will Jacks who could provide an additional spin option. There is also talk of a change in wicket-keeping, which could affect Bairstow's spot. It will be interesting to see if England's aggressive batting style can handle India's spin attack. England may struggle to take 20 wickets and keep up with India's strong bowling lineup. Overall, it will be an exciting series with unpredictable outcomes. Baz Ball's biggest test yet. England face their biggest test under Brendan McCollum as they embark on the toughest tour on the calendar, a five-match test series in India. England named a 16-man squad that has certainly piqued the interest of many, featuring uncapped test players such as Guff Atkinson, Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir. The make-up of the 11 that will take the field in the first test is still unknown, but I feel England may have limited options in the bowling department. I think Anderson, Wood and Leach are shoo-ins with the fourth bowling spot up for grab, which I believe Ray and Ahmed is currently the front-runner. I do think they've missed the trick by not picking Will Jacks as their number seven and third spin option, with Stokes more than likely out of action for bowling, leaving him with only four options. There is some chat that they may also opt for folks to take the gloves, which may put Bairstow's spot in jeopardy. I do think England's batters can match it with India's, and it will be interesting to see if the gun-ho-baz-ball approach can withstand the test of turn. However, I do think England will struggle to take 20 wickets, and keep up with India's three-pronged spin attack of Ashwin, Jadeja and Patel, and not to mention Siraj and Bumrah, who are coming off a 5 for each in their latest test. We are certainly in for a great series, with the main intrigue being the unknown of how it will play out.
