"The Aeneid of Virgil (Version 2)" is a classic Latin epic poem written by Virgil in the 1st century BC. It tells the story of Aeneas, a Trojan who travels to Italy and becomes the ancestor of the Romans. The poem consists of 12 books, with the first six detailing Aeneas' journey from Troy to Italy. The second half of the poem describes the Trojans' victorious war against the Latins, who are destined to be subsumed by Aeneas and his followers.
