The dielectric constant of a medium affects its ability to store electric energy. A higher dielectric constant on a surface results in stronger signals and brighter SAR images. The dielectric constant is influenced by moisture, so the amount of water in bare soil can be reflected in SAR images. Another factor is the dielectric constant. Dielectric constant means the ability of a smedium to store electric energy. And energy will be released immediately. So if the dielectric constant on the surface is high, the surface can return strong signals and cause brighter SAR images. The dielectric constant is related to the moisture. If the moisture is high in the bare soil, the dielectric constant is high. If the moisture is low in the bare soil, the dielectric constant is low. So whether the amount of water in the bare soil can reflect on the SAR image.
