There are multiple SAR satellites available, including Sentinel-1 which is popular because it's free and has a high temporal resolution. The U.S. is planning to launch a new satellite called NSAR, which will monitor various things like vortex, biomass, natural hazards, ice, and glaciers. The NSAR mission aims to provide additional perspectives to Sentinel-1 with its high temporal resolution and the use of SNL bands. Currently, there are many SAR satellites. You can see those in the table. Now, many researchers use Sentinel-1 because it is free and the temporal resolution is high. Recently, U.S. has planned to launch a new satellite. The mission is called NSAR.
