The Morning Show hosts share their favorite segment, the Craigslist Misconnection of the Day, where they find strange and unlikely love connections. They read a message from a guy named Steve who saw a girl at school and wants to reconnect. Steve describes himself and suggests a date at his workplace, a bowling alley, and a visit to a Brony Club event. The hosts doubt that the girl will respond but admire Steve's courage. They end the segment and invite listeners to share their own Craigslist Misconnections. Big 36.1 here on The Morning Show with Warren and Anna, as always, and Anna, that brings us to one of my favorite parts of The Morning Show, it's the Craigslist Misconnection of the Day. And this is the part of the show where I scour the internet and Craigslist, of course, looking for some of the strangest people out there looking for love in all the wrong places. And I'm just going to go out on a limb on this one and assume they're probably not very likely to find it. Yeah, I would agree with that. And I think Anna, today's is probably no exception to the rule, somebody named Steve wrote in. He's a local guy, actually, he goes to Community College. And he had a lot to say. Let me just say most of what he had to say is a little bit strange. So get ready for this one, you're going to find some mood music for this just because I think it's going to help set the tone of this Misconnection of the Day. Steve writes in, he wrote, I've never done this before, yet here I am, or I admit as we cross paths just outside the gymnasium at school. You had blonde hair and a ponytail and wore a dark navy jacket. Well, I wore some gray sweatpants and an anime t-shirt. I felt our instant connection as you looked at me and I looked at you. I kicked myself for not asking you for your name, your number, or what your favorite anime is. Now, if you don't watch anime, get bent. Just kidding, I'd love to educate you on the greatest source of entertainment of all. I went outside to change my clothes after my pickleball class after gym. I drive a 1994 Geo Metro with a 10% tint and always change into my official clothes after a rousing game of pickleball in the gym. And that's when I saw you again. You were on your way to class and I was too busy trying to change into my clothes and there was no possible way I could get out of my car in time and find a way to talk to you. Now I waited for my chance to find you ever since, but have had no luck at all. I truly believe that you will see this Misconnection and will write back telling me you felt the same way that I felt about you that day. Now I dropped out of school since then, but you can find me any time where I work. I work at **** Bowling Alley where I work as a shoe attendant. Now I promise that if you come in and see me someday, I will give you a great pair of shoes at a great deal just for you. And if you give me the chance, I will plan the most amazing date for us. I will pick you up at your place in my Geo Metro. I will even clean the inside of the car just for you. And I would love to take you out to dinner at the fast food establishment of your choice, be it McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, it doesn't matter to me, it matters to you. And later I was thinking we could hit up my bowling alley where I work. I have a great discount on the Putt Putt Golf Course. I used to hand out the putters there before my big promotion to the shoe counter. And I'd love to take you on a date. I plan to go to Sakura Con in Seattle in two weeks from now with my Brony Club. And Anna, look this up, a Brony Club is grown men who watch My Little Pony, the cartoon, and dress up in the costumes. So he is a world-class Brony at Sakura Con in Seattle. And he writes in, why don't you come along? I'd love to take you there and show you around, meet the guys. Signed, Hopeless Romantic Steve at Community College. So Anna, there you go. That is your Craigslist Misconnection of the Day. And Steve, somehow, I don't think she's going to write back, buddy, but I give you credit for trying because you've got more guts than I would have. Oh! You just can't make this stuff up. We'll be back tomorrow with a brand new Craigslist Misconnection of the Day, of course. If you ever see one online you want to share with us, write to us anytime at Mix96.1 on Instagram. The Morning Show. I'm done hating myself for feeling.
