Eg's' Philosophy
The speaker discusses the concept of time and how to stop wasting it. They mention the teachings of Manny P. Hall, a philosopher, and suggest methods to reclaim and use time effectively. They emphasize the importance of purpose, prioritization, learning, and self-reflection. They also mention the need for physical and mental health, balance between material pursuits and spiritual growth, and the power of visualization and planning. Ultimately, by mastering time, one can live a fulfilling life and leave a lasting legacy. Yo, what's up guys, it's EG. Today, I want to start this video off with a quote Time is an ever-flowing river, a relentless force shaping our lives, yet in the hustle of modern existence We often find ourselves enslaved to its current, losing the essence of our very being. A quote from Manny P. Hall Time is our most valuable resource and today everything is out for it So today I made a full guide on how to stop wasting time and how to flow in the current of time This video is highly influenced by the 33 degree Freemason Manny P. Hall So today we'll be using his teachings, but before we go into the video I want you to comment down your current screen time and then we'll come back a week later and see how much it is then And also if you truly want to stop wasting time watch till the end for my hidden gem of advice You won't get it to like the measly few minutes of the video So to begin you need to understand time as a commodity Manny P. Hall, a philosopher of the 20th century, saw time not just as a number on the clock But as a legit gem, the ultimate currency of life Even way back then, he observed how modern society is designed to sap these invaluable resources from the masses Our attention constantly taken by the external demands ruins our focus and leads us away from our true path The first step of beating the shit out of thieves who try to take your time is to recognize this manipulation and Reclaim our time. Have this in the back of your mind at all times You can keep scrolling, but keep reminding to yourself that some nerdy bastard, some smelly bastard is poffing off you Well EG, I already knew this. How can I fight back? Well, the first and most easy method is the Rosicrucian method It's where for a week you Ridiculously write down every single thing you do in a day and then each day try to make it more efficient For example, you waste a lot of time shitting. Maybe stop eating that much food This method is the hardest as it requires a lot of discipline But most people who actually are able to do it usually win and have a lot of free time Well Manny P. Hall pointed out is that the higher powers both in the form of societal structures and more esoteric Influences have an extreme interest in consuming our time. These forces whether they be the relentless push of consumerism The distraction of media or even more subtle psychic influences like music Music is a man whispering in your ear talking about drugs women and killing It's highly satanic and it draws us into a vortex of wasted moments To combat this, Hall advises a conscious detachment, a step back to view our lives from a higher perspective This attachment isn't aloofness but a planned retreat to gain clarity If you're stuck in a brainless session of wasting time and 2% of your brain realizes that you want to snap out But you just don't feel like it. There's two steps to snap out The first one is viewing your situation objectively and thinking How will this help complete my goals? Once you answer that question, which is obviously no, then you want to use the 3-2-1 method where you count down from 3 3-2-1, then you quickly just get up and go somewhere else. So this brings us to the cornerstone of Hall's philosophy It's the power of purpose. Without a clear defined purpose, time slips through our fingers like sand He says the power of introspection is the key to discovering our purpose and whilst diving deep into our psyche Understanding our deepest desires and aligning our daily actions with this newfound understanding It's about simply asking does this serve my higher purpose before succumbing to the lures of time wasters You're always going to waste time if you don't know what to do with that time. So your task right now is to pause this video What is your goal in life? Do you want to be a bodybuilder, a fighter or get good grades? Figure that out then dedicate all your time to that craft. Next is the ability to prioritize This means saying no to things that don't align with our higher goals, even if they offer immediate gratification It's about embracing activities that nourish our soul and intellect. This is my to-do list method I have a list that starts with high priority to medium to low Then I write all the tasks that I want to complete today and then order them accordingly Now that I know what to do, why would I actively waste time and be an idiot? For Manly P. Hall, the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom was paramount. Lifelong learning keeps the mind sharp and the spirit engaged He believes in the power of books, exploration and intellectual curiosity to transcend time Every new piece of knowledge or skill acquired is an external asset at the fines of time fleeting nature So now I want to talk about how to guard yourself against time-draining habits Hall was acutely aware of the time-draining habits inherent in modern lifestyles excessive entertainment consumption, aimless internet browsing and the endless pursuit of material possessions He calls for a conscious effort to identify and curtail these habits. It's about creating a life that values creation over consumption Experience over seconds of time that has passed by. This is your new goal Have a one-hour screen time on your phone. Complete this and you will know its benefits. Another crucial aspect That's often overlooked in time management is the role of physical and mental health Hall understood that a sound body and mind are essential for optimal use of time This includes regular exercise, a balanced diet and adequate rest and mental exercises to keep the mind sharp A healthy individual is more productive, focused and better equipped to make the most of each day But that's basic shit. That's for the people who like are too stupid enough to know you understand that So now we want to deepen our relationship with time and make it like our girlfriends So Hall teaches us that our relationship with time should be akin to a gardener with their garden Just as a gardener cultivates their garden, we must cultivate our time This cultivation involves a conscious effort to plant seed of productivity, creativity and mindfulness in the rich soil of our days It's about nurturing these seeds with the water of discipline and the sunlight of wisdom So balancing material pursuits with spiritual growth. Hall was not dismissive of material pursuits like he said before But advocate for a balance with spiritual growth. In our quest for material success Time can become a casualty lost in the pursuit of wealth and status Hall encourages a balance where material pursuits are in harmony with spiritual aspirations This balance ensures that our endeavors are not just for immediate gain, but for the elevation of our spiritual and consciousness So next is the art of reflection and journaling, the 33 degree Freemasonry, the Manly Peave Hallway He suggested that the art of reflection and journaling are as powerful tools to master time By reflecting on our day, our actions and our thoughts, we gain insight into how to use our time Journaling these reflections create a record, a map of our journey through time It helps us identify patterns, celebrate progress and redirect our path when we stray Just like the Rosicrucian method I said, but this is a more detailed way Life as Hall observed is not without its challenges These challenges can consume our time, leaving us strained. Building resilience is key This resilience comes from a deep sense of purpose, a strong network of support and an unwavering commitment to our principles Where we are resilient, where we use these challenges as stepping stones, not stumbling blocks Visualization and planning were also crucial in Hall's philosophy He believed in the power of visualizing our goals and meticulously planning our steps towards them This approach turned time into an ally A canvas where we can paint the masterpiece of our envisioned life In closing, the teachings of Manly Peave Hall on time are a treasure trove of wisdom They invite us into real time not as an enemy to be battled, but as a companion on our journey of life By mastering time, we master the essence of our existence Living fully, going ceaselessly and leaving a legacy that transcends the ticking of the clock Following these teachings by Manly Peave Hall helped me transform my life and should help transform yours. Peace on the street
