AJ believes that late night talk shows are the best form of entertainment. He has always enjoyed watching shows like The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart, Craig Ferguson, and even Johnny Carson. When AJ was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 7, these shows helped him cope by making him laugh and forget his troubles. Even now, he uses late night shows to escape and laugh on bad days. AJ is studying film, TV, and journalism at Fordham because he is passionate about these shows and hopes to have a similar impact on someone else someday. Hi, I'm AJ, and I believe that late night talk shows are the best form of entertainment. I've always loved staying up to watch these shows. I'd watch The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, I remember Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart, and I love Craig Ferguson. I even would go back and watch the oldies with Johnny Carson. When I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which really wasn't easy. What helped me was late night. Whenever I was having a tough time with any aspect of my life, these comedic heroes were there for me to make me laugh and forget my troubles. Even now, whenever I have a bad day, I use these shows to escape and laugh. These shows are what I'm passionate about, and why I'm studying film TV and journalism today at Fordham. I hope someday I could have the same impact on somebody that these great comics have had on me. Thank you.
