Nothing to say, yet
The speaker talks about a book called "The Red Sea Rules" and the first rule is to realize that God wants you to be where you are. They discuss how God is still working on them and that the season they are in is where they are meant to be. They share a personal story about their husband finding a job and opening a gym. They also talk about the importance of studying the Bible and how writing in a Bible journal can enhance the experience. They mention a guest who shares their Bible study methods on TikTok. The conversation ends with a mention of a preacher who read the Bible but didn't learn anything from it and the speaker's own journey of reading the Bible in a year. They mention the popularity of the Bible Recap podcast and workbooks by Carolee Cobble. Are we ready? Yes. Are you going to welcome us in or? It's the nugget time! You're here with Kelty. And Rondi J. And I guess I will start today. Um, a few weeks ago I was introduced to a book called... So, a few weeks ago I was introduced to a book called The Red Sea Rules. And, um, I do recommend the book. It's a good read. But the first rule is realize God means for you to be where you are. So, let that soak in a minute. And just think about it. And we need to edit this pause out. While I find my Bible verse, which I had pulled up at one point. And the Bible verse that I have to go along with that is Philippians 1-6. Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. So, he is still working. He's still working on us. And wherever we are, whatever season we're in, he intends for us to be there. And, um, it goes on and it talks about how God won't put you in a situation that he won't see you out of. But just realize that the season you're in is where you're meant to be. If it's a happy season or a sad season or in between, it's where you're meant to be. And that's hard either way. It's so hard to just live in the moment and just accept this is where God wants me. We were talking about earlier how my husband prayed for a job for three years. And then he finally received a job that he really wants. And we were wanting him to get another job so that I could stay home and homeschool. But now we're opening the gym and it's just like God just knew how to lay it all out. So, it was tough in those seasons. And even now, we've got a lot of big life changes going on. And we're so happy. And even in this happy season, I find myself being afraid to be happy. Just like, oh, where's the ball going to drop? Like, how bad is going to happen? So, I really needed that today just to realize this is where God wants me right now. And I'm just going to flourish in this happiness. Well, and this book, The Red Sea Rules, it has 10 rules in it. So, as I go along, I may share some more rules. Oh, I love it. That's good. That's so good. One thing I do that has been on my mind is I follow a lot of Christian TikTokers. And I love that so many people are starting to realize or starting to show how they do their Bible study. And you and I had that conversation before how growing up, we were always told you got to do your Bible study. You need to be reading your Bible. But we were never actually shown how to do that and what you do when you study. And a lot of times, it was just sit down and read your Bible. Yes, yes. And you really don't get a whole lot out of it just sitting and reading it. So, yeah, you do. It's just like in college. I had to learn how to study. You have to learn how to study the Bible. Yes, yes. And growing up, writing in our Bible was a big, big no-no. Oh, no. You don't write in it. No, you don't write in it. It's the holy word. But having these Bible journals and things like that, to be able to write in the word and write in what Holy Spirit leads you to write is just a whole other level. And I love that people are sharing that. So, we have a guest coming up soon who does a lot of that TikToking. And I can't wait to really talk to her how she does her studies because I think people need to know that. Like, how do you do it? Oh, how can I take your way and make it mine? Yeah, make it mine. Because it is a personal journey. It is. It is. And actually, you talked about reading the Bible. Our preacher talked the other day about reading the Bible. And he said, I had a goal when I was younger to read the Bible all the way through. And that's what I did. I didn't learn anything, but I read it. So, there's more to it than just reading it. Yes, yes. I'm on that journey myself. And I got one of those, my friend Emily gave me. Read the Bible in like 200 and something days. I thought it was going to take me a full year. I started it in June. And I just don't see myself finishing it before June because it takes me a little bit. I mean, I could read it, sure. But I don't want to just read it. I want to know what I'm talking and think about it and digest it. Yeah. Well, and I think that's why the Bible Recap is so popular, too. Because it helps you kind of absorb and understand. Yeah. I'm so happy that that has gotten so popular. I just want to say, hey, I was telling you about that before everybody else. So, you can tell people you heard it here. Yes. But Carolee Cobble, she's, you know, everybody's on the Bible Recap train. She has the podcast. She has workbooks. Yes. And she even has children's workbooks. Ooh. And I've got to get my hands on that. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. All right. Well, let's start our episode today. Okay. Bye. Bye. Bye.
