Larry, scripture for the night. Okay, 1 verse 5. So we are washed from our sins. We ain't believed from our sins. We don't receive some miraculous feelings and be washed from our sins. We don't receive a vision. I saw angels. I saw angels climbing a tree. I saw angels run around my house. My preacher prayed over me and told me to say this, and, whew, I just fell out all over the floor. I caught the Holy Ghost. I just knew I was saved. It ain't in the Bible. They told me the same thing in prayer. It ain't in the Bible. Well, they say if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you're saved. But, no, did you put the whole teaching together on salvation? Look at every scripture that talks about how to be saved. Because if it was just one scripture, then it would just be one scripture there for us to obey. It wouldn't have put all the other scriptures in there. If we just needed one, this pattern wouldn't be in there, see? But it's plain to see, people, that it's not difficult to see that as Christians did for many centuries, immediately after Christ, that the new birth takes place in baptism for forgiveness. And it's been a wonderful time on with y'all tonight. I'm sorry that I kept y'all a little longer tonight, but this is a very important topic because we don't know when we're going to die. Life ain't promised. Tomorrow's not promised. We don't own tomorrow. We can't say, well, tomorrow I'm going to go fishing. I'm going to do this. I'm going to do that. Well, I know that I will wake up tomorrow. How do I know Christ won't return before this call hangs up? And even though I heard and believed that pattern of teaching and I didn't obey it, I'm still not in Christ, no matter how sickly I was. So tomorrow, we're going to look at when do those who believe get baptized. We're going to see if they say, look, I'll catch you when I come back later. I'll be back down here tomorrow. Well, look, we ain't in the right place right now. We're going to see how and when do people get baptized. That's what we're going to do on tomorrow, Lord's willing. And if anybody on tonight who knows deep down within your heart that you did not understand the teachings on salvation the way that you've been hearing it since you've been on Bible call, then it's time to do the right thing. It's time to do the right thing. Jesus said, come unto me, those who are heavy laden. Now, he wasn't talking about loaded down with bricks or with weights. He was talking about loaded down and weighed down with sin, because sin weighs us down. He said, and I will give you rest. He said, take my yoke upon you and learn from me. So we got to put off the yoke of men from off our necks, being led astray by the con and craftiness of men and the doctrines of men. And we got to be humble like little children and take Christ's yoke upon us and learn from him. Learn what he said about salvation. Humble yourself before God, being willing to learn. Believe in God and in his son, Jesus Christ. But don't just believe. Confess Jesus is Lord, that Jesus is king, and that he has a kingdom. He's the ruler. But you need to also repent, show God changed behavior. But not only that, you need to be baptized for the remission of sin and be faithful unto death.
