Nothing to say, yet
Two friends are trying out different protein options from Walmart. They start by trying pig's feet, which they find disgusting and difficult to eat. They discuss the nutritional content and wonder who actually eats pig's feet. They then move on to sardines, which one of them likes, but the other finds unappetizing. So today's challenge, it's not really a challenge, it's just we're doing it, we're going to eat the most delicious options of protein. You can find them in Walmart, you know? You don't even know what I got here, so big surprise. This has become completely new to us. Big surprise. So I've eaten, like, one of the things that I bought, but, terrifying. Let's start off extreme. Do we want to move this? Uh oh. Actually, this doesn't work on both sides. No, this was the only side I tried that at first. Alright, so first up, we have pig feet. You ever had pig feet? No, I haven't had it. This, I think, is going to be the worst. But I don't know, because I've seen videos of people eating pig feet, and they're like, oh, this is really good. You might need to save that for last. Yeah. I have pigs, but I never wanted to eat their feet. Like the dirtiest animal, and we're going to eat their feet. Yeah. Walking, pooping, everything. Yeah. Alright, there's a reason we don't eat their feet. There's a reason, yeah. So, and they're interesting, because look at the bottle here. It's dripping on the outside. And they were all this way. I tried to find one that wasn't this way, but they're all like this. So it must be normal. What grocery store? Walmart. Okay. So it's okay. If it's from Walmart, it's okay. But you can see, it's like some residue on the outside here, like it was leaking. But all the bottles are leaking, so, I mean, it's got to be, it's got to be alright. I got to grab a fork, though. When I grab a fork, I'll grab some napkins. I also got this bag here, just in case we throw up. I'm so looking forward to it. Oh, disgusting. This is going to smell horrible. Hey guys, can you do that? Don't worry. Oh. It's not even sealed. Did you open this once? No. No. It's uh, that's just how they come. That's just how they come. So, let's, let's open this up. It's not a good sign at all. They are all like that, so it must be okay. We're not going to die. It's just pig's feet. It's just pig's feet. It's normal. Alright, let's see here. Pig's feet. We want to make sure they know that we're... Oh man, it's got so much liquid in it. Does it say it's paused? I think it says it's paused, right? No, that means recording. Oh yeah, look, it's leaking from the up, up here. Hopefully that's fine. See? It's like leaking. It's all like soaked up up here. Okay, but the question is, who is eating this on a normal day to day? Oh man. Oh, how's that smell? It smells like vinegar. It doesn't smell that bad. It smells like vinegar. It's not... It smells like a greasy vinegar. Yes. It's not very tasty. It smells like a broth mixed with vinegar. Let's look at the nutrition facts. We're looking for a good protein meal after our workout, so... This is our... This is all we had available, you know? This is all we had. We're like, oh, I need protein. We went to the store and it was like, it takes feet. That's all that's there, so... I thought you weren't going to have any protein content. Well, let's see. This has 9 grams of fat, 110 calories, serving size is 2 ounces. Okay, whatever. 8 grams of protein. 8 grams of protein. That's it, yeah. And then there's 8 servings in a container, so I don't know, but let's see. Let's take our first foot out of here. Let's show them that. Wonderful. The camera. By the way, guys, Bill said that I didn't have to eat this. It's just nice of him. Oh, yeah. Very nice. He's like, I don't need to eat any of this. Oh, there's bone. A lot of it's bone. How do you get this? What about the pig's feet? So, hold on. Pig's feet, they don't have hooves, do they? They're like little... They have like, well, I mean, yeah, they don't have hooves, like a feet. Let's see what they look like. They've got like fat little claws. Oh, that's disgusting. I can't get one out. I'm trying not to make a mess. Alright, I got to do this down here. Oh, that's just weird. I should have actually got the pig's feet. There we go. Oh, that is disgusting. What is that? I'm not eating that, man. What the heck? You're eating that. That looks like a pig's foot, right? Good gravy. Let me see the front. That looks like a pig's foot that like, had a severe growth. Oh, that's disgusting. Oh, Jesus. You're not paying me enough to eat this. Hopefully they can see it. That's weird. Yeah, I'll just let it drip all the way over there and shed some. Yeah, so there's the first foot. I'll grab another foot out for you. Thank you. For me. Thank you so much. Yeah, yeah, there we go. Oh, that's an actual foot right there. Oh, that's so weird. How much of that is meat? Quite a bit, actually. Quite a bit? I mean, just, there's the bone there. I don't want to touch it. That looks so unreal. Like, it's just so red. Well, this is just because of the sauce they put in it. Yeah, the vinegar and stuff. Let's get a picture of this. Yes, of course. Okay. So, actually, I want to get a real as well. All right. Look at that. Oh, yeah. That's a bone. A lot of bone in there? Yeah. All right. Let's see here. You probably want some water. Let me get you some water. Do you have a fork for me and a knife? I don't want to touch it. Mmm. Delicious. I'm trying to figure out what that smells like. I mean, it smells like vinegar and like fat. Okay, here's your water. Water? Thank you. Always drinking water. It's all I do. All right. So, we've got some pig's feet here. And, I don't want to pick on the fork. Man, this looks appetizing. You know, I have a feeling that it looks terrible, but it might actually not taste that bad. Pig's foot. Because it's supposed to be just like pork. It is pork. All right. Are you ready? No, I'm not ready. All right. Look at the skin. You don't eat pig like that. Oh, man. You don't eat it with that much skin, bro. What does the skin say? Oh, look. Actually, what they did was they cut the bottom of it off, so it's clean. Bro, they sink in the mud. They get their whole foot covered in the poo. There's no part of this that hasn't been touched by poo. Okay. I'm just going to clarify that with you. All right. Here we go. This is our only option, so we're trying to survive. Like, this is all Walmart has. Yeah, this is it. All right. Ready? Three. Countdown. Man, I don't want to do this. All right. This is what you wanted to do, okay? Three. Oh, we've got to talk up here. Pig's foot. You ready? I'm ready. Three. Two. One. Oh, that's gross. There's like hairs on it. Wait, okay, we've got to actually grab a bite, though. I couldn't bite into it. Oh, that's gross. That's actually disgusting, bro. Wow. Oh, bro. Heck, that skin, though. That's really nasty. It's hard. I can't get a bite of it. Yeah, sure. There's all kinds. Like, you get a bite right in there, right in there. It's horrible, though. It's like a pimpled skin. It's like a naked bear skin. You've got to eat it. Hey, you've got to eat that. You've got to swallow it. I'm gagging. I can't do it. Hey, I swallowed it. You've got to swallow it. Oh, I can't get the flavor out of my mouth. The legendary Bill Gaines has to eat the pig's feet. I paid my dues. I paid my dues. You've got to eat that. Did you swallow? I swallowed. You swallowed? I swallowed. Oh, man, right. Oh, yeah. Do it for the views. I can't get a bite of it. It's all bone. Here. Look right there. Oh, here we go. Here we go. I'll bite. I'll bite right here. I'll bite right here. We should have gotten that meaty bite in there. Okay, my question is who's actually eating this? What? I am. This is delicious. Yeah, okay. Look at that. What is that? That's like a fat right there. Yeah, what is that? Look at that. Right there. That's so crazy looking. Dude, I got chills right now. Look at that. Goosebumps. This is disgusting. Oh, I feel the end of that though. Listen, I've got to swallow this. Concentrate. You can feel the pimples. It just tastes like vinegar cartilage. Yeah, cartilage is a good one. I'm swallowing it. This doesn't look so good. Who eats this? Who eats this? Ugh, I can't swallow this. I guess if you're poor enough and this is all you can afford. Yeah, I swallowed some. I swallowed a little bit. Swallowed a little bit there. It's actually nasty. This is It's the bone too. How much did you swallow? I didn't swallow that much. That's the bite I took. Yeah, look at the bite right there. Oh, you took a pretty big bite. Yeah, I took out the skin and I took out the unchilled part though. Oh, I had to. The skin was disgusting. So, all I got was basically skin, right? Yeah, well, pigs have really thick skins. It's just I don't think you you're supposed to eat it. Ah, I swallowed it. Okay, that's not that bad. Yeah, you cook it or some people peel it off. There's some meat in there. I wonder if it would taste any different cooked. Well, this is cooked. This isn't raw. We're not eating raw meat. That would be bad. I'm saying like cooked as in like you cook it like a ham though. Okay, there's some meat in there. That's not too bad when you get to the meat. All I ate was skin. I got to look up who actually eats this stuff. Probably people in the South. Yeah, I was going to think that. Who eats pig's feet? Okay, so you're right about that. I was thinking Mexican. I was thinking that might be a Mexican type of cuisine. Oh, really? Um, and it says it is Mexican. So, pickled pig's feet is a type of pork associated with cuisine of the Southern United States, Mexican, Chinese, and Scandinavian. Oh, man. If you eat that and enjoy it, you're not normal. Some people actually believe that pork's feet is the best part to eat. Best part of the whole pig. Yeah, people believe all sorts of things. Apparently. Alright, next up we have let's do something that I like personally. Alright? Sardines. Okay? Sardines. Okay? Right? Have you had sardines? Okay. I have always loved sardines. Okay. As a kid, it was like whenever I went to the store I was like, I want sardines. I always said that. So, doesn't look good. Wild caught. Wild caught, okay. Okay. I see. That's a big slip in my mouth. Um, wood smoked. Okay. Hand packed. Okay. That's pretty, pretty fancy. Pretty special. So, is this from the sea or from the river? This is from the sea. I think sardines Wow, I thought that was a picture. That's actually the sardines. No, those are actually fish. No, that looks disgusting. So, my, preface, my dad always That smells like a dirty, like No, it smells smoked. It's smoked. That's what you're smelling. It's smoked. Like a cigar. No, that smells like a dirty locker room. Alright. Let's, uh, dig into our delicious fish. Okay. I like fish. You're just eating like a whole fish. It's kind of cool. I like fish. Oh, I can't get it out. It's a very cheap food, isn't it? This is very cheap, yeah. It's a cheap, and I, I made sure I got it kind of a cheap. Yeah, look, it's literally just a fish. Okay. And it's cooked? Oh, yeah, it's all cooked. You're good. Okay. Yeah, go ahead, take one out. Ready? Uh, yep, ready. Three, two, one. Oh, yeah, that's good. I'm having that one. Actually, that's not that bad. I'd live with that. This is pretty good. And what's really good is having this with crackers. Okay. Put it on a cracker. Cracker eating, uh, it with a cracker. Oh. Oh, wow, there's a whole other layer of fish down there. Oh, wow. Look at that. Okay, I will say this, it's not as bad. This is good. It always looks really unappetizing. I could watch Kai with a chance of meatballs. That's kind of my, uh, idea, but I'm sorry. Yeah. Hmm. Now, how much, how much protein is in this already? I don't know. I'll have to look at it here. Let's see here. Man, that's delicious. Neither of the cheaper starters are as good as this. Yeah. Neither of the cheaper sardines, I think. Um, oh, 10 grams. Wow. For one sardine? No, I could see. Two ounces. Why do they go ounces? Like, how do you know how many ounces a sardine is? Like, man, that's good. I'll be fair, anything after the pastries is good. That's true. I would be loving to eat, like, well, you like it though, don't you? It's kind of cool to just be, like, eating a whole fish. I'm not a big fan of, like, the juice. There's a bunch of different flavors that they soak it in. Like, you can get, like, fancier ones that are, like, yeah. The juice is kind of like a weird, fatty juice. I'm not a big fan. I'm not either. Not bad though. Are we gonna rate them? Oh, yeah, I think I'm giving a solid, okay, I could swallow it. So, if I was to say, like, zero out of ten, that would be, like, I was vomiting. So, it's not that bad. It was more, like, maybe a two or a three. Like, a one's, like, really bad. It's not, I mean, the first, like, bite was really gross though because there was, like, little hairs. It is like that. It's like eating, like, skin. It's weird. I'm not a big fan. Alright. Next up we have, Oh, what do you rate the sardines? Oh, sardines? So, like, ten out of ten is, like, just the best thing I've ever eaten. So that, maybe, like, a 4.5. I mean, it's not, it's not something I'd go out of my way to get anymore. I used to love it when I was a kid, but I don't, I can already feel the protein. Alright, next up we have, octopus. Wow. They sell it at Walmart? Mm-hmm. And it's cooked too? Yeah, and it's a product of China. Let's see what it says. It says, warning, cancer. What? Yep, reproductive harm. Wait, I'm not eating that. I'm not actually eating that, bro. It's from China. It's okay. No, what? No, what? Alright, guys, I'm gonna watch Bill Gates here eat this. Alright, so we just got an unmarked can here, right? I'm looking out for my offspring, okay, guys? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, this gives your offspring powers. Powers of the octopus. I have seen cancer for, like, chemicals. I've never seen a chemical. What? Alright. You wanna have it on the selfie mode? Well, it's just blurry that way. That's good, probably. Alright, so we got some octopus here. A lot of liquid in there. Have you ever had an octopus? I've had an octopus, yes, but it usually didn't come from China, though. No, not from China. And a cancer warning. Mmm, mmm. That's actually crazy that they can smell like that. Wow. That doesn't smell too bad. No, it doesn't. It smells like pringles. Alright, let's, uh, get some octopus here. It's, like, big chunks of octopus. I was hoping it was, like, tentacles, but this is, like, big, like, chunks of tentacles. See, they just chopped up tentacles. Tentacles. That's crazy. Oh, that's nice. That's nice. After the warning? Alright. After the warning. Alright. I'll be, I'll be there for you when you have cancer, okay? Alright. I'll watch over you. Change your diapers. Cancer guys are here. Alright. R.I.P. Bill Gaines. Actually, let's see how much protein is in this. This is our cheap protein option. Uh, 13 grams for one whole can. Okay, so this whole can is 13, so maybe this will have, like, two or three grams of protein in it. But, it smells salty. Mmm. Oh, wow. It's pretty good. It's chicken. That tastes just like chicken. I'm not kidding. Look at, it even looks like chicken. It does look like chicken. That's interesting. The Chinese are lying to us. The Chinese, what is it? This isn't octopus. This is chicken. The flavor in everything is chicken. That is weird. I almost want to try it. It's not even chewy. I thought it would be like squid and chewy. It's a piece of chicken. I actually want to look up why they put a cancer warning on there. Because, Walmart wouldn't sell foods that could cause cancer, right? They just, by law, probably have to put some sort of a warning. I know, but you'd think anything else. Like, they didn't set up this idea. But, there you go, guys. Octopus is pretty good. Alright, next up, we have... Are you going to try it or not? No. You're going to look it up now again. Right. This ran on a cancer warning, too. Oh, it does. Oh, it does. It does. But it had something different. No. Reproductive harm. Adios. Bill Gates. Pig's feet. Alright. This has 15 grams in a can, so this actually has a little more... Is it calamari? No, this is oysters. Cold smoked oysters in sunflower oil. So... Wow. Yeah, we're looking at 15 grams of protein per can. So... Let's see here. Looks the same. I'm going to have to know how it smells. This is going to be not... I don't like... Because it's probably going to taste like snot. I can't imagine the smell. It's not going to smell very good. I don't like oysters. It's a little more oily looking. Quite juicy. Looks like a lot of oil. There we go. Alright, let's see. We're looking in here. Oh, no. Wow. That looks like alien babies. It does. What's it smell like? What does it smell like? Do you smell it? Make a little whiff of that. That smells like mandarin oranges. That is actually a great... It does. It smells like... Yeah, mandarin oranges. Mandarin oranges from China. Well, it's mandarin. They speak it down there. You're right. Let's go. Alright. Oh, this consistency feels like chicken too when I... when I grabbed it. So, there it is. It's... It can't be that bad. Oh, man. Definitely more seafood tasting. But, uh... It doesn't taste like chicken. No. It's chewier. I'm trying to figure out why, uh... This tastes like... like, uh... Yeah, it's definitely seafood tasting. I'm trying to figure out why guys should have chicken. Oh, man. That's kind of gross looking. Okay. Look. Yeah. It doesn't look particularly wonderful. I don't know if I should... That looks like... like... poo. I don't want to eat that. It's probably fine. I don't think Wal... You can always sue Walmart if you die. Or I'll sue them for you. You can sue them for me. That'll be fine. So, interestingly enough, all the foods contained chemicals that are on the Proposition 65 list they can cause cancer or birth defects. So, you would have to eat quite a bit of this to get cancer, I think. But, it's a little interesting, I find. I think it's a chemical to kind of preserve it and keep it a lot longer. Yeah, so I'm just gonna live longer if I eat this. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. We just need to spray it on ourselves. Okay. Oh, I gotta rate these. Octopus, I'm gonna say 3 out of 10. I'm gonna say... Really? There's only one point about pickles? Well, okay. Wow, pickles... I don't know. I mean, it's just a lot better than pickles-y. Let's say, like, just on a reading scale of these foods, let's say sardines are 8 out of 10. Like, you would rather eat a sardine over an octopus, right? No! Would you put sardines? No. Really? No. Actually, I think these two actually taste better in my opinion. Really? Wow. It's just the fact that I don't want to just, like, eat a bunch of it, I guess. I don't know. I'm kind of, like, a little worried about it. But, um... But I swallowed both of them and, you know, I tasted both of them. You know, and... I think... I don't know, the oysters were pretty good. Yeah, the oysters were pretty good. They're not clams. Oysters. Because they're cooked. I think... I don't know, I've had them before where you drink them or something. Yeah. I don't know, maybe there is the meat in the middle, but it has the liquid. I don't remember. But, I mean, if these didn't have the cancer warnings, I would be fine eating them. They were a little gross looking inside the clams, but the octopus was a little easier to... Aside from the cancer. So, yeah, alright, next up we got Spam. This doesn't have a cancer warning, but I guarantee it has more cancer than the other two. Yeah. Seven grams of protein. I'm actually excited. For sure. I haven't had Spam in about ten years probably. So I'm excited to try it. Um... Yeah. So, Spam. You got your Spam. This is a lot more common. It's basically just like a giant chicken nugget. Yeah. Or like a giant piece of ham. Yeah. Is it ham? Or is it like pig? Or what is it exactly? Is it chicken? It's probably pig. Well, yeah, probably. Um... So this, the ingredients... Where are the ingredients? Fully cooked, ready to eat, cold or hot. Oh, here they are. Spam. Pork with ham. Hold on a minute. Pork is ham. Pork is ham. So what is a way of cooking ham? Ham is the meat. Pork is the meat. Oh, really? Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. Alright, I believe so. So pork with ham. Mechanically separated chicken. Hmm. Why did I have to say mechanically separated? I don't know. Just say chicken. Chicken. I don't know. Just say chicken. There's a reason. There's a reason. That's interesting. Um... Water. Okay. Salt. Great. I love salt. Modified potato. What? Hold on. Modified potato. You know, yeah, you got your classic ingredients. Water, salt. Modified potato. Modified potato. Mechanically removed chicken. Sounds like the ingredients to create frankincense. Starch. Sugar. Of course. Um... Phosphate. Potassium chloride and sodium nitrate. Okay. Okay? Interesting. Interesting. I'm ready to try this. How are we gonna dig in? Oh, just grab a little, uh... Just one side. Grab a forkful? Yeah. Okay. Oh, man, I don't like spam. Oh, I actually love that smell. Man, that smells so salty. It's way too much salt in this. Mmm. All right. All right. Big mouthful here. All right, ready? Three, two, one. Oh, that's not bad. Nope. I mean, when you think about the mechanically separated chicken and the modified potato, it's kind of a wonder. Well, it's just... It adds a little flavor, you know? Yeah, yeah. Of course. There's no way I could eat a can of this, though. It's too much salt. I mean, how much salt is in this? It's so salty. And it's 25% less salt, too, on the front. 25% less salt on the back. 25% less sodium. Wow. Um... Okay. There's six servings per container. Okay. And seven per serving, right? Seven grams of protein? Seven grams. Yep. Okay. Um... Sodium. 570 milligrams. So, 570 times six is what? That... 570... Is it three servings or six servings? Six servings. Oh, really? Okay. What is that? That's about... That's probably around 32, 33, 34,000. Or 3,400. Yeah. Yeah. Not 30. What is the daily consumption rate? Like, how much are you supposed to consume on a daily basis? That's my question. Probably not 3,400. No. No. I'm sure not. That one bite I took was probably all I needed for the day. I'm really interested to know what the daily... But yeah, that... That was our protein... Um... Delight. Yeah, that was good. That was our options we had. You know? We were starving for protein. And, uh... There you go. What would you say your most favorite was? My favorite was probably the octopus. Really? Or the Spam? Yeah. The Spam... Okay, the thing with Spam was I was comfortable eating it. I was like, okay, you know, this is... But, um... You actually knew where it came from. Somewhat. Well, yeah, it all came from Walmart. Yeah, okay. And the worst, I'm assuming... But this is from America, I'm sure. I'm sure Spam's made in America. I didn't taste the potato, though. I don't know. It doesn't say it's made in America. Huh? I didn't taste the potato. You didn't taste the modified potato? Yeah, we're gonna have to figure that out.
