Nothing to say, yet
The host, Dr. Faye, discusses overcoming fear and igniting powerful faith. She distinguishes between healthy fears and negative emotions. She emphasizes that God provides peace and encourages listeners to access this peace instead of fear. Fear can have negative effects on health, and it is important to manage and overcome it. Dr. Faye shares scriptures from Isaiah and 2 Timothy that encourage listeners to trust in God and not be afraid. She concludes by reminding listeners to reach out to her and that the choice to overcome fear is theirs. Welcome to Faith Alive in 5, the 5-minute gospel. Now here's your host, Dr. Faye. I would like to continue our teaching today on overcoming fear, removing the barriers to faith. How to ignite such a powerful faith on the inside of you that you no longer feel like you're a hostage to your emotions of fear. Because fear is an emotion and it is a negative emotion. Yeah, there are some fears, the things we call fear, the emotion we call fear, that is a safety net. You know not to go and stand on a railroad track. You know not to cross a busy street without looking, first stopping to look. You know to lock your doors at night and to check your home for safety. Those are things that we live and breathe in our everyday waking, walking, talking lives. And those are not exactly fears. I call them as wisdom, right? Wisdom. You don't leave your door open for anybody to come in and out, right? You don't teach your children to just run across the street and get that ball. The ball is not the most important thing. Your child is. We talked about 2 Timothy 1 and 7 where the scripture says, God has not given us a spirit of fear but of peace, love, peace, and of a sound mind. For God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So that peace that comes, it can only come from God because He is our Jehovah Shalom. So we know that the Lord God is our peace. Having said that, how do we access this peace instead of this fear that so many people are plagued with today? And I use the word plague because that's a virus that you cannot detect with a test. You cannot use anything that's known to mankind to detect whether or not people are afraid. That's something that is an emotion that you feel on the inside of you, the tightness in your chest and in your belly. And that is a sign that it's actually affecting your health. You see, when we're walking in the negativity of fear, it's a very toxic, it's a very overwhelming emotion that affects your heart level. It affects your blood pressure. It affects every part of your life. There have been people who've passed away because they were afraid. They got in shock and they suddenly went into a heart attack or a stroke and they passed away. So it's extremely important that you and I manage, manage fear. And when we manage something, that means we recognize it, but we also overcome it. We're also more empowered than the thing that we are managing. So let me give you a couple of scriptures today because this is Faith Alive in Five, the five-minute gospel. So let me share just a couple of scriptures with you. One is in Isaiah 41 and 10. He says, Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed. I am your God. You know, folks, how I am about I am. I be, I'm the living, breathing, walking, talking God. I'm alive. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. That's Isaiah 41 and 10. Hold on to 2 Timothy 1 and 7. I want you to hold that verse into memory, just as you do now with Isaiah 41 and 10, that you will hold it to memory, commit it to memory, to fear not. This is God saying don't be scared. Don't be spoon-shaken. Don't be alarmed. I know situations have been overwhelming, but I want you to know that I got you. So fear not. Don't do it. I am with you. I am your God, and I'm here to deliver and set you free. I'm Dr. Fay, and I'll see you next time. Thank you for tuning in to today's broadcast. Dr. Fay would love hearing from you.
