The Bible is the oldest, most seasoned, and valuable book on earth. It contains principles found in other books. It is like a road map or GPS system. Reading and speaking the Bible transforms us and shapes our world. We become living examples of God's word. Our children and others are constantly reading our story. Just as we are what we eat, we become what we read and speak. Our bodies and souls were created for God's glory. By renewing our minds through reading the Bible, we can understand and fulfill God's will. To change our world, we must change what we speak. The Bible holds treasures that can transform our lives. So I'm gathering that you have all started picking up your Bible, getting back focus on the scriptures, because this is part 3 of the importance of the Bible. It's important that we understand there's a reason that this book is the oldest book, and the most seasoned book, and the most valuable book in the earth. I know that there are great authors, and I've said this before, that have written awesome, awesome books. But if you take a closer look, you'll find the principles of those books are outlined in scripture. All scripture is given by inspiration of God. So God has given us a road map. That's what I look at the Bible as. It is our complete GPS system. And thankfully, we do have the apps, but they are no substitution for picking up a hard copy, or a leatherback, or a paperback book, and holding it in your hand. Because when you sit down to read the Bible, it is a focus period. It is a time to really get into scripture and extract what you can from the written word. You see, it goes through stages. We go through stages in our study and becoming. When we read the Bible, it is the written. It is what's called the Logos. It is what is written. When we begin to speak it out of our mouths, it becomes rhema, because it's growing up in us. And we begin to confess it, because confession is unto salvation. Confession is unto possession. So when we begin to speak it out of our mouths, we are framing the world around us through the word that we are speaking. And then we come to the place, we become living epistles, as Paul described. Known and read of all men. In other words, when you read God's book consistently, habitually, and make it a part of your everyday waking, walking, talking lives, as a matter of fact, first thing in the morning, you will become a book yourself. After all, we are always a book, and someone that's always reading your story. Whether you realize it or not, you who are parents, your children are reading your story. School teachers, your students are reading your story. Yes, they'll come home and they'll tell auntie, who is me, or they'll tell the parent exactly what happened at school that day. They are reading stories all of the time. And when you are diving into the word of God, the scripture, as we should say, the scriptures, you will discover that you, my friend, will become what you eat. Yeah, we are what we eat. We become what we eat. I talked a little bit about what happens during starvation in part two of this series. That you begin to lose your body mass index, and you become dehydrated, you get dizzy. People have had strokes and heart attacks when they've gone into the state of starvation. And the science has discovered, and even medical science has discovered, that even after they've removed life support from patients, that there are those who have lived 10 to 14 days after that. God created some powerful machines called bodies, and he wanted us to know that he created us for his glory. And not only these bodies, but our souls, which is the house of the mind, the will, the intellect, and the desire that is to be transformed, as Romans 12 and 2 states, be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you can prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. How do you renew your mind? By picking up the Bible and beginning to read what he inspired. Beginning to read what is written, so that you can speak it out of your mouth, habitually, consistently, and then you're framing your world so that you become that thing that you're speaking. And if you don't like what you're seeing, change what you're speaking, beginning with opening the book from Genesis to Revelation. There are treasures that you will be holding in your hand, and it will transform your life. I'm so glad you joined me today for this series. As we continue it, God bless each of you for being here today. Don't forget, contact me by texting Coach to 501-521-1381. See you then. Bye-bye.
