Nothing to say, yet
The final message in this episode of Faith Alive in 5 is about overcoming fear with faith and living boldly. Fear is not aligned with love, and when fear dominates our lives, it means we don't fully understand God's love. We need to confront and conquer our fears to live boldly. Examples from the Bible, like David facing Goliath, show that we can overcome opposition and be more than conquerors. We are called to make a difference in the world and can join Kingdom Women are Rising for support. The choice to be bold and courageous is ours. Welcome to Faith Alive in 5, the 5-minute gospel. Now here's your host, Dr. Faye. Welcome back to our final message on overcoming fear with faith and this week we're going to speak to you about living boldly in the face of fear. Being afraid but doing it anyway. In 1st John 4 and 18 it says there is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear because fear has to do with punishment. King James says fear has torment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. Well that means that we don't understand just how much God loves us and that God is love. We don't have a perfect understanding of that. We're not in alignment with love when fear is dominating our everyday waking, walking, talking lives. I understand. It is. There are times in our lives that we are just afraid. We are just afraid of doing something or making that move across country or letting that child go off to college or marrying that man or that woman or having that relationship or moving from one job to another. There are so many concerns until it weighs on your mind and it becomes fear. Living boldly requires us to confront and conquer our fears. When God told Joshua to go in and possess the land but you've got to remember Joshua to kill off those ites. There are some things that will ite you. They will bite you. There are things that will torment you and but you must destroy those things in order to become the more than a conqueror. You have to honor the fact that there are some oppositions out there that everybody won't like you. As beautiful as you are or as handsome as you may be, everyone won't like you. As popular as you are, yes, everybody won't like you. There are some people who are just made to get in your way but you can overcome them. Let's take a look at a couple of gentlemen in the Bible. One being David who comes to mind. David had opposition in his own home. His father didn't recognize him as a possibility for royalty. His brother certainly didn't bring his name to the table but the Prophet knew that there was another one in the house and David's head came before the oil and the oil was poured upon his head and he was ordained King of Israel and he got up and went back to tending his father's sheep knowing that there was a call on his life. I imagine David thought many times, how was it, when would this ever take place? I'm out here tending my father's sheep. When will that day come? But he kept on doing what he was doing, staying in motion, taking the steps of faith by worshiping God, praising God, doing what he had been called to do in the moment, honoring the moment in his life. When you honor those precious moments, fear will begin to dissipate and when his brothers went out to war with King Saul against the Philistines and they had been gone for a while and his dad sent lunch out and told David to go and make sure his brothers are okay and bringing him word back and when David came upon them he found out that they were trembling on a hill. They were so afraid they could not fight. Have you ever felt fear like that? So afraid the fight has left you? But David understood something. He had been prepared emotionally, mentally, psychologically. He was shorter. He didn't weigh as much as the Philistine did, as much as Goliath did, but he was encouraged that he could slay that giant. So David took the five smooth stones after he found out what the reward would be. He'd get a woman and he'd get a palace, he'd get out of debt, he'd get a house, he's got a bunch of stuff. So he took the talent and he slew Goliath. He went against the fear of everyone else and he was made more than a conqueror. He confronted his fear. Are you ready to confront your fear? I pray that you are. Go and be bold and be brazen and make a difference in the world because you were born to be a difference maker.
