At this rate, AI could prove dangerous for us as a civilization. My comments and concerns stem from the Terminator films, which revolve around artificial intelligence coming to life and realizing that the human race are inferior to machine and they decide to wipe us off the face of the earth. It is a very troubling thing to think about and it could come sooner rather than later. Everyday the work behind making AI better is not slowing down. If anything, scientists try to achieve faster and better outcomes when trying to enhance AI as a whole.
