Nothing to say, yet
In this radio show, the host discusses the effects that people have on our lives as believers. She highlights the importance of treating others with love and looking for the fruits in a person. Gossip is emphasized as something that holds believers back and can be damaging. The host encourages believers to correct gossip in a loving way and to speak positively about others. She also warns about people who don't want to be corrected and the danger of allowing them into our lives. The host explains how the enemy uses people to hurt and damage us, and the importance of having supportive people who uplift us. Man-pleasing and jealousy are also discussed as things to be cautious of, as they can lead believers astray. Overall, the host emphasizes the importance of following Jesus' example and being mindful of the people we surround ourselves with. Welcome back all you lovely people. It's so lovely to have you listening in to Cornerstone Christine Radio today. You have tuned in to the Rise and Shine show with me Charlotte Charles and today's topic has been awesome so far. We have been discussing about what effect does a person have in your life as a believer. We have spoken how God wants us to treat one another and how he wants us to love. We also touched upon two reasons why people come into your life. They are either sent by God or they are sent by the enemy and it's important for a believer to look for the fruits in a person. We also spoke about how Jesus always shows an example and that we should always follow in Jesus' footsteps. So it's good to be back and we are going to dive straight back into it and the first scripture we are going to go to is James 5.19. Brother, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back. When we look at this scripture, God wants us to always be encouraging and he wants us to have compassion. Our God is a lover of souls so if one of us drifts away, God sends someone in to help them come back to him. Praise be to God. I want to talk on a few minutes about gossip and the importance of gossip and how gossip holds a believer back. Praise God. Gossip, we should look out for gossip as a believer. We should be very careful in the things that we speak because we know that our mouth holds power. Our mouth releases things into the atmosphere. So we have to be very careful of the things that we are speaking and the things that we are getting caught up in. But we also have to be careful with the things that we are also listening to. Because if we are listening to gossip and we as believers are not correcting the people that are gossiping to us, in a loving way of course, then we are going to have to give an account to God. So we see how gossip can become very dangerous in a believer's life and we know that God doesn't like gossip. God isn't in gossip. You don't see God turning around, talking to the angels, pulling you one thing to your face and another thing behind your back. That's not God's character. So we have to be careful of those people that are around us that gossip. Because if somebody can gossip to you, then they can gossip about you. And many of you in the world are not understanding why is that person talking about me? Why is that person doing that? Sometimes we need to repent of gossip. Because like the scripture says about the seeds that you plant, you know, we have to be careful of what seeds we're planting, praise God. And you're going to reap what you sow. So the things that you are doing, you're going to reap from that. So if you're only going to do good, you will get good. You know, if you are saying positivity, you are going to get positive outcomes. It's not saying that it's going to happen straight away. Maybe not, but you will have a positive outcome, praise God. And you see so much gossip in the church. People gossip about people's deliverance. They gossip about the message that's reached and the tone that it was reached in. They talk about what this person's wearing, what that person's wearing. And a true point, people that gossip have a hidden pain. They are not happy with themselves and they need Jesus to heal them. We see that gossiping damages so many churches and damages people's lives. Gossiping in a believer's life takes them from what Jesus thinks about a person and turns it into something that is not nice, that that person looks upon differently. This is why we have to be careful as a believer to what we are giving a loophole to, praise God. Sometimes the enemy really does attack believers with gossip because we think as believers, okay, we've got to listen to this. You know, they're thinking, no, when we know what's wrong, we must correct that person in love and say, don't talk about my brother or sister like that. Come on, God doesn't see it like that. And we have to be bold enough to be able to correct these people, praise God, in love. And it's time to be a person to correct gossip because Jesus still loves that person that is gossiping. And they, to be fair, they might not even be aware that they are doing this and how serious it is. So, as believers, if we know this, we could help somebody out by correcting them in love. And we do this by letting ourselves draw closer to Jesus. Let us close our ears to gossip and choose to speak positive over that person, praise God, in this situation. We also need to be careful of people that do not want to be corrected, that they think they have it all together. I've come across some of them people in my lifetime that they've got it all together. You can't tell them anything. They know every teaching. They know everything about parenting. They know everything about education. You know, these kind of people that they know everything and their way is right. It's their way or the highway. And we must remember that Jesus corrects people because he loves us and he expects us to do the same because everything that Jesus did was for us to follow, praise God. So, if a person comes into your life doing all sorts of craziness and when you begin to correct them and they don't want to listen, when we look at this they've opened up doors to rebellion, disobedience, you know, and this is dangerous because we know that these things lead on to witchcraft. We simply have to walk away and we just have to continue to pray because it's what's in secret that will be rewarded in the open. Because if you are not strong and you are not grounded in the law, that person that doesn't want to be corrected could take you down an unruly path and that you would become unruly. So, be careful and mindful of these kinds of people and be careful not to bring them into your life because they are not that iron in your life, you know. But we must also pray for these people because Jesus loves these people and sometimes when you, I don't know about anybody else, but when you speak to a sovereign person or you speak to a person that is dealing with a spirit of rebellion or disobedience or pride, even pride, praise God, you cannot get through to them. The best thing you can do is pray and when you have prayed and made your request known and you have spoken to the Lord about them, then allow the Lord to guide you on what to do. But until then, take that step back, take that step back and pray, pray God. And we must look that the enemy does really use people, he uses mankind to come into our life. Why? Because the enemy wants us to feel hurt, because he wants to damage certain parts in our life, because he wants us to become bitter, he wants us to hold unforgiveness in our heart, he wants to tamper with our feelings and our emotions, because that way we will look differently at God's people. And when we are doing these things, we've got to understand when we are operating out of the flesh, we are allowing demons to come in through the way we carry on through the flesh. So we have to be very careful and we've got to understand that the enemy is good at what he does. He is a masochist. When you look at it, a third of the angels fell with him. He's not stupid and he knows how to get to mankind. So it's important that we have the Holy Spirit. So you see how important it is to have people that will bring that iron. Believers need the people that will bring and be that iron in their life, that when you may be feeling down or having a hard day, people won't be gossiping or talking about what you're going through, but they will be uplifting you with the Word of God and seeing past what you have done or what you may have said and helping you to come through it. Praise God. Isn't this just nice though, that sometimes when we're going through a hard time, each and every single one of us have wanted that person at that time, just to be able to encourage us. We don't want people to judge us and look at us, but we want that kind person that's going to say to us, you know what, God's saying this, keep going, keep striving. I want to pray for you. You know, it can make a whole situation different. Praise God. Sometimes in life we become man-pleasers and I think at some point in everybody's life they've become a man-pleaser somewhere or another and this is very displeasing because you are placing that person before what God thinks. Man-pleasing is dangerous in a believer's life, so if we are around people that want to please people and put the people, that person down, it's not nice. This can lead us from Christ and it can even lead a believer into idolatry. They hang around with these kinds of people. God is a jealous God and he doesn't want anyone taking his place. Praise God. Hallelujah. Yep, so we've got to be careful of people and man-pleasing and watering down God's word or watering down or doing what men want us to do rather than what Christ wants us to do. Another thing that we have to be careful with and that's jealousy. When a person has a jealous friend or they have a jealous spirit, they will not be able to get to where Jesus needs them to be because jealous people don't always let you know that they are jealous. They want what you have got. They like the same things as you and they even get jealous if you give anyone else attention and not them because they want to be the centre and as we spoke before, God is a jealous God but how can he share you? No. Praise God. So these kind of people, they're not gonna respect your time with God. They're not gonna respect that God comes first because they want to be first in your life. A jealous person will always hinder you. Look what happened to Cain for what he did to Abel because of jealousy. Look what happened, you know, even like the extent Jezebel would go of jealousy. All these kind of things in the Bible, look at what Joseph's brothers did to him because they were jealous. So we see God never was once jealous but we see once again the Pharisees and Sadducees were. Wherever Jesus was around, whenever Jesus was around them, Jesus would keep their distance. He would keep his distance. He wouldn't, he knew that was there but he would never feed in to what they were saying. Praise God. They were jealous of Jesus. They were jealous the way he did things. They were jealous that he walked around with that power. They were jealous that he could lay their hands on the sick and they would be healed. They were jealous that he could cast out demons. So they would come up with all kinds of excuses and all kinds of nonsense because they were jealous because they really desired what he had and they didn't want to submit. They didn't want to come in under that leadership. Praise God. And we also have to be careful of people that lie. Lying is dangerous. How can a relationship be good and be edifying if you cannot trust a person? We must remember that lies destroy relationships. Lies deceive and turn people away from the truth. It's important we pray for people but we also have to be careful and consult God in everything as you don't want to be caught up in a lie but you can be that light in that darkness. Be careful because the enemy comes as an angel of lie. The enemy lied, lied. That's how a third of the angels fell from the heavens. Watch out for lies and be careful of your circle of friends. Pray always. Pray they can be delivered but protect yourself at the same time also. Praise God. So let us see what God's word has today. Ephesians 4 32. And ye be kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. So this scripture is very clear. It is telling us as believers that we must forgive. That we must forgive one another. Not keeping things in our heart but to forgive. Not just one day but to forgive daily. Everything that's being said in this scripture Jesus already has done. That's why he is leading and directing us to do the same. Luke 6 31. And as ye would that men should do to you do ye also to them likewise. So it's important that we treat people how we want to be treated. If you don't want people to do certain things to you, change the way you treat others and allow God's amazing fruit through his Holy Spirit to flow through you. Philippians 2 4. Look not every man unto his own thing but every man also on the things of others. Praise God. Don't just be happy. Don't just be happy about things that just concern you. God wants us to rejoice. He wants us to be happy for others and their blessings and what he's doing in their life and how he's using them and we must remember that. That it's not always about us but we have to rejoice and be happy for our brothers and sisters also. But as we're coming to an end of this topic I hope that you have been encouraged by God's word today and that this has helped you to look out for certain people. Remember that we always must pray what agenda is behind a person and always trust the leading of the Holy Spirit and surround yourself with people that will pray and be patient and uplift you in God's word. But before I go let us pray. Heavenly Father I want to thank you for your amazing word. I thank you Lord that you're helping us to trust you and allowing Lord Almighty God or allowing Lord you to lead us through your spirit. I pray Lord that you will bring godly people into our life. Those that won't be afraid to correct us and lead us back to you Lord. I pray people will come into our lives that will encourage us, that will be a blessing Lord, that will edify us with your word Lord God. Lord we just want to thank you for everything you are doing on and off the scene in our life. Lord God I just pray Lord that every believer listening to this will be encouraged, that Lord God they will see Lord God, that their eyes will begin to be opened and their ears will begin to be opened. And I thank you Lord everything that you're doing in their life Lord God. I thank you for their blessings. I thank you for their turnaround. I thank you Lord that you're removing Lord God the wrong company in their lives Lord God. That you're bringing people Lord that will replace the wrong company. People that are kind, people that are considerate, people that have compassion. Lord I thank you Lord that you're releasing your people from the hand of the enemy right now Lord I just pray Lord that your will will be done in their life in Jesus name. Amen. Well it has come to an end of the Rise and Shine show but join me Charlotte Charles on Thursdays and Saturdays. Be blessed, be encouraged. Until next time, goodbye.
