Teaching generative AI to young students helps them learn to use technology without becoming overly dependent on it. Relying too much on AI can hinder their ability to write and create. If they start relying on AI at a young age, it will be hard to change that habit later on. However, if they are taught to use AI as a tool only when needed, they can benefit from its helpful features without hindering their own creativity. By teaching the proper use of generative AI in the classroom at a young age, it will teach the younger generations how to live in coexistence with technology without relying too much on it. AI is detrimental to one's ability to write and create if they always have to use it. And if this happens at a young age, it will become increasingly difficult to change those habits. However, if they learn to use it only as a tool when necessary, they will have the helpful characteristics and ease of it without hurting their own creativity.
