I'm just saying, I make this and you make it. It is evident, I do better win. I feel like the world against me and think I should never win. Can I stop it? Pocket profit every time I push a pin. But I do not push a pin. Fuck the pen and the pen that imprison all my kin. And my partners and my friends. Fuck the politicians that fuck with the prisons at the end. I got partners coming home from rockets, winning in the game. Trying to make a meal, but baby mama didn't know the key. And they cannot sell the marijuana bottle that I'm in. Man, the crackers let a nigga out, but will not let a man in. It is evident, I do better win. I feel like the world against me and think I should never win. Can I stop it? Pocket profit every time I push a pin. But I do not push a pin. Fuck the pen and the pen that imprison all my kin. What is up everybody? It is your boy Milo. And you're back with another episode of, you guessed it, you know it, you love it. The High Yellow Podcast. All right, so a little weekly check-in. All right, before we hop in a little motivational piece on your boy. Your boy has been on some highs and lows. A very high and low week as far as my emotions go. As far as my feelings towards things and our progress. A lot of times our progress is determined by our feelings and our emotions. Because if we feel a certain way, we can't shake that off. And the day is not going to go as productively as we might have planned. But that's nothing to be discouraged about. I mean, we can be discouraged in the moment all the time. It just doesn't need to stay that way. So me being the way I am, I just get like this. I get like this and I'm in the highs and lows category. I do that most of the time. So I just try to get over it and try to ride it out. Remember and count my blessings. I can get kind of depressive and kind of self-defeating and different things. But as the long way goes, pretty much everything in my life is stable. It's stable. And that's all I can ask for right now because I don't have the funds to be anything else. I'm building them. We are getting our capital up. We've invested a lot of money into the stock market this year. And I feel like it's going to pay off in the next three years. And that's what we need it for. We're making these steps to begin our journey to better ourselves and better our lives and our financial journeys. That's what we need to be doing in 2024. We need to be setting ourselves up for our 30s. Us, 90s kids, 1999 and up, the latter and very end of the 90s kids, the Gen Z, I don't like saying that because I don't agree with most of this generation. I really don't feel like we all are the same. I can't really lump us all into one single boat with the behaviors and the attitudes and the actions of this generation very differently, very drastically, especially within individuals. So I don't know. But we're going to be 30 before you know it. And what my goal is for my 30s is to be in a place where I don't have to worry about bills. I shouldn't have to worry about financial instability because I shouldn't have to worry about not being able to take a vacation, not being able to, you know, being slaving my way, slaving my life away to another corporation or company or any type of activity that doesn't benefit me directly and substantially. I'm not doing it in my 30s. I don't have time for that. I don't want that. It's going to set me up to live the rest of my life even more peaceful, even more serene, even more just not stressed out. I'm not going to be that. Not in my 30s, not in my 40s, not in my 50s, not for the rest of this goddamn ride on this earth. All right? So that's what I got. I mean, that's what I'm trying to do. My depression wants to get me down. My depression wants to prolong my suffering. But what it won't do is subdue me forever because I'm a survivor. I really am. Like, at the end of the day, I might complain. I might complain. My mind might try to take me out, but I'm a survivor, and I always will be. So with that being said, I want to jump into our motivational message today, and that would be, off the top of my head, we're just going to go with true and utter happiness in a relationship. It's hard to come by. More people than not have not happiness but stability. And stability can lead to happiness, but it's really about what makes you happy and how stable can you be with another person. That person is off the wall, always spending, doing reckless things, and you're not going to be happy and you're not going to be stable. But if you have a common ground with your partner and you have a common accord, then it's much easier to stay in that realm of happiness and stability. But it's hard to come by in this generation. That's why a lot of people are scared to jump out there now, because it's trash out there. These people either want you to have $2 billion already or they want you to be working your ass off to get it and in the meantime still buying them thousands and thousands of dollars of things and trinkets and just bullshit, just bullshit that doesn't matter. It's a setback, really. You think you're setting it off, you're setting it back, because you're in debt or your boyfriend is in debt or whoever you're trying to push to be this person that they're not. You need to stay in your lane and stay at your level. At 20 years old, I had to realize this too. You ain't always supposed to be the moment. You ain't always supposed to be everything at once. That's set for a select few people. Don't let Kylie Jenner fool you, because Jenner wouldn't be shit without Kardashian. I mean she would have had a little bit of money if Bruce never met Chris, but Kylie still would have been somebody. I don't know if her name would have been Kylie, because you know they all want to be K's, but it would have been something. She would have still been Bruce Jenner's daughter. He would have still had a daughter. So it's just like you can't push yourself too, too hard, because 1%, 1% is not a big number, y'all. And just because you ain't in it right now don't mean you're never going to be in it. It takes time. It takes time and it takes work. But that don't mean it's never going to happen. A lot of downfalls, a lot of setbacks are going to happen, but that doesn't mean it's going to deter you. And if it does, then shame on you. Shame on you for being deterred from your goal. The one thing on this earth that you were meant to do, you let somebody change your mind about it, or you let a situation determine how you feel about it, and if you're going to do it or not. You can't be doing that. I can't be doing that. I'm speaking to myself just as much as I'm speaking to everybody else on this podcast. I can't be doing that. You need to say that to yourself. I can't be doing that. I got to keep on trucking. I got to keep on going, because my goals affect more than just me. Especially if you're trying to start a business, if you're trying to run a company, you could be paying people's bills one day, and they rely on you in the future. You don't know that now, but that could be a possibility. You got to think ahead just as much as you think in behind. Don't stay in the past too much, but it's good to learn from our mistakes. It sure is. But you got to stay in the future too. Think about how your goals affect other people around you, not even just around you, around the world, potentially. So that's just a little motivational message for y'all, and we're going to jump into our first topic today, which is Bridget Medler, our Disney girlie from Good Luck Charlie and so many other beloved Disney shows, is officially a CEO of her company, Northwood Space, a company that specializes in ground satellites to put customers' flexibility and time first and in mind. So I knew she went to college for a degree in aeroscience of some sort. I did not know that she was trying to do this whole business acumen and stuff. Bridget Medler never ceases to amaze me on what she is able to do and what she has the ability to accomplish. She's one of the white girlies from Disney. I stand for sure, for sure. It's definitely an ally, has always been. I believe it's a great, great addition to corporate America, and I feel like she's going to set it off, for real, for real. I feel like whatever she's got going on, whatever she's got cooking will succeed just because her name is on it. Not to write anybody's chin or nothing, but I just fully have faith in her. Everything that she's done thus far has been a smash to me, especially on the music tip. We need you back, Bridget. We need you back. I miss that song Atlantis, that song Do You Miss Me At All. I got a couple friends for Change Anthems. She is a catchy girl. She can throw a note real quick. All right? So that's Bridget. That's on our Disney girly news. I'm so proud of Bridget. Everybody post her today when you're hearing this, and just congratulate her on her success with her company. I want to dive into this next topic. I know this couple was kind of short, but I just wanted to really highlight Bridget for a second there. So the next topic everybody's talking about online is, Who the fuck did I marry? Who the TF did I marry? On TikTok, it's a series, I guess, and it stars Risa Tisa. I've heard that name too many times this last week and a half, two weeks. So I hate that name, Risa Tisa. It's such a weird name. I can't even call it a name, really. But that's the girl's name, and the story is just as stupid as her name, pretty much. She basically married this man who, prior to her marrying him, had shown countless signs of just untruth and just a whole lying situation. He was a web of lies that just branched off to another web and to another web and to another web and to another web. He basically was a pathological liar, y'all, and she refused to see the signs. I'm not going to say the whole story. Y'all need to go look at that stupid mess yourself and waste your own time with that, but I'm going to brief it out for you because it's in the zeitgeist. It's in the puddle, so we're going to dip into it. Basically, she was dating this man during the pandemic, and he was living in a single-bedroom, one-bedroom studio, whatever you want to call it, and she was living in a townhouse, three bedrooms. All right, big girl, she's balling. She's going, all right? So she obviously had to get that townhouse somehow. It didn't just fall into her lap. So I'm thinking that she's a very intelligent, at least of intelligent enough to make some money for herself. So she starts talking to this guy during the pandemic. Don't take them very long, and, you know, after they start talking, the pandemic starts. So he basically said, I don't want to get sick or anything, so why don't I just move in with you in the three-bedroom because, you know, I got the one-bedroom. I'm trying to get rid of this bill anyway. So the man moves in. So I guess the man starts paying her bills for her house and then starts telling her, basically, I'm trying to move us on up, this, this, and that. We're together. Let's go look for a car. Let's go look for a house, this, this, and that. I'm just going off of my memory of the situation, what I've heard from several different podcasts about the situation. I'm not reading nothing off, so just letting y'all know. That's what it is. So basically, he is paying the bills, y'all. Hold on one second. He's paying the bills, y'all, and she finds out that, you know, they're trying to get a car. So basically, she finds out that he's not even able to get a car. The car that he's driving is the company car. And he's having her to believe that the company is going to pay for the car, and he's going to go pick up another one from the dealership. And that's how those plans fell through. So that all being said, she's just accepting the fact. And, you know, things progress a little bit more and more as time goes on. And, you know, he's just continuing to keep up the lives that he has. And he proposes to her. He proposes to her. They're about to get married. And he has this fairytale of this venue that he wants to go to in Italy and just this whole overseas debacle about what he wants to do and who he has connections with overseas. Little does she know, none of that actually happens. He said that he booked the venue. The venue was booked up, whatnot, ready to go. The day before, she gets fitted for the wedding dress, she gets the call, she has to call them to make sure everything's everything. And they said they don't even know who he is. They don't even have a reservation, none of that. And you know wedding venues. You've got to get in there and be booked up before anything happens. And you've got to come with that deposit. If you don't have that deposit, then you ain't getting that spot. Now, I don't believe in marriage. I don't believe in weddings. But I've been to a couple, and, you know, that's how it goes. They put their money first, and that's why I don't like weddings. The whole marriage industry is stupid, but love is love. You can love somebody without a piece of paper. That's what I think, genuinely. So that being said, she just kind of pushes that down too, and she's like, well, I don't want to embarrass him, so I'm going to just take it on the head, and charge him to the game, essentially. So after that, she kind of confronts him about it, because she's like, well, what is he going to do? The day is like tomorrow or something. And she confronts him about it, and he basically denies it. He tries to lie, saying that there was other things involved. The venue was double booked or something like that. And I guess she just passes that off as well. Fast forward to about a couple months later. He's not bringing in any money anymore. He's lied out his last lie, pretty much. And now he's starting to turn into a slob. This man was peeing in Gatorade bottles, and that's pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back. She said, I'm not letting y'all live up in my house and be a slob. I guess that was the straw that broke the camel's back. She was looking for a house husband, pretty much. And what she got was a horse husband, because he was telling them... Okay, that was corny. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, y'all. But, yeah. So, long story short, he was actually cheating on her. And she found out, and now she's in her little comeback journey, and she's going all over TikTok. That's paraphrasing a hell of a lot, but that's pretty much the gist of what happened. I couldn't be even more or less interested. But other people are into it, and that's why I gotta talk about it. So, to me, the biggest thing for me in this story was... This lady was almost 40-plus years old. 40-plus years old, and this is going on with you? You getting scammed like this? You getting lied to? You getting taken for a ride? Come on, now. At that big age, I hope to be damn near on my way out, and got all the knowledge in the world. Not literally, but that's how I see myself. I see myself retired, about sitting on the front porch somewhere, rocking a chair, drinking a glass of iced tea or something. I don't even like iced tea. It'd probably be one of them sparkly drinks. I'm not going to be no basic bitch just getting tooken for a ride, or basic anybody. Or, you know, 9-to-5, look that kind of around, but I just won't do it. I can't do it. It's just not in my nature. So, the fact that she went through it is crazy. The women these days, even the old ones sometimes, I'll be thinking that basically you just need to go another generation up, and then you'll find some actually sane people who are with it and with the world. But, them people, every generation got their duds. I don't know. Somebody's playing the saxophone, and I don't know why, but every generation got their duds. It's not just mine. Mine just seems to have an influx, if anything. I don't know how to fix it, y'all, but we got to do something. There's not any smart people out here these days. But, that's what's going on with recent teeth. If y'all was wondering, if you had heard about who the fuck did I marry, and who the TF did I marry, that's what's going on with it from my point of view. That's my little take on it, or whatever. But, that being said, my next subject on the pod is one that everybody is really excited about, talking about, in it, some have gotten it already, and that is the reason for the season. The reason is the tax season. Yes, baby, we is getting our taxes back. People is getting taxes back, and tax refunds, and child tax credits, and they acting a fool. We is seeing an influx of crap bags, jewelry, maybe a car note or two, especially in the South. I'm in the North now, so it's, well, the Midwest. I don't like saying that, but it's the Midwest. Technically, geographically, I called it giraffe, it's okay. Y'all, I can't talk today, but just know, you know what I mean. It's in the region. The region is Midwest, all right. So, I'm not seeing as much up here, because maybe it's because I don't leave the house that much, but to go to work and for a few other things. People spend money different up here. In the South, I'm seeing it. You know when there is a boost in the economy. You know when it's not. You just see all types of crazy things. One time, I saw a lady with a flatbed truck. I had a whole living room set on there, just going through the drive-thru, so she didn't have to leave the television set. It was just crazy. Her whole living room set was on a flatbed truck, and she was just driving down the road going through the drive-thru. That's stuff that you see. People get money, and they don't know what to do with it. They don't know what to do with it, but act a fool. Some people, my sister being one of them, she'll get her tax back. She got three kids. That's over $11,000. She'll blow through that in about three months, her and her little deadbeat dumbass husband. Three months, I was going to take them there. All they're going to do is buy a car and a couple of 8-balls and different types of drugs. Let me stop. That's what they do in the South. Let me stop incorporating myself into that circle, because I'm out in the South. You ain't going to catch me in the South for too long, even visiting, because it's hot. First of all, it's hot, and I hate sweating. One thing about Colorado is I don't get bit by mosquitoes that much, and I don't sweat that much. If I do sweat, it's brief. If I do get bit by a mosquito, it doesn't bump up and turn into some crazy one-eyed monster on my extremities. My skin's too dry for them to even stick their little tongue thing in there. It's just like, yeah, you ain't getting in there. All right? Tax season is crazy. I come from Florida, so we never had to file federal taxes, so we only got state taxes. Well, we only got federal taxes back. We didn't have to file state. My refund is huge this year. I got almost $2,500 back just from being single and working my little two, three jobs that I had this year. I didn't even work the whole year. I was off the summer. I was off the summer, so I didn't even have to work. But that was a pretty big refund, the biggest one I've gotten so far. So I'm happy about that. Taxes do me right out here in Colorado. I will say that. Next year is going to be even better because I'm going to play my baby bowl, and we're going to be balling. But we're going to put most of that in the stock market because we're trying to be financially responsible, y'all. We're trying to be financially with it in 2024 and up. So tax season, y'all, I just want to say don't waste your money. Invest it. You know how much money you can make just investing? That's free money. It compounds on itself. I don't know exactly how it works. I just know I put in a certain amount, and I get a little bit more. Each time I put some more in. So it can build on you. By the time you're 30, 40, 50, you've got a million dollars. So that's what I'm working towards. And that's what we all should be working towards this tax season. And any season that you receive extra funds that weren't previously allocated. All right? That being said, our next topic on the pod. In Colorado, we have something of a dilemma in our grocery store chain system. It seems that all the grocery stores are going to want to swallow up one another because there's a lot going on. We got three main grocery chains in Colorado, Denver, to be exact. That's King Soopers Kroger. That's Albertson's Safeway. And that's Walmart. We don't have any very much other stores grocery wise. Besides like Dollar General and Whole Foods and the bougie stores like Sprouts and other stores of that caliber. Trader Joe's is another one that comes to mind. But those are the main affordable grocery stores that people go to. King Soopers, Safeway, and the other one, Kroger. Safeway, King Soopers, and I named another one, but I forgot. Just that quick. Oh, Walmart. Yeah, Walmart. So that's mainly what's going on. And in Denver right now, we got a merger potentially trying to happen between King Soopers and Albertson's. Now that would make the three grocery store chains that we have turn into two. And I feel like I heard this being discussed on a podcast I was listening to. And I feel like a food desert is a very, very serious thing. Because we get our food from certain places and we rely on those prices. And just a little tweak in those prices could result in us not eating them for a night or two. Because these prices is astronomical out here. We're trying to save money as well as our own lives. Because we need to eat. I wish we didn't need to eat. I wish it wasn't so big of a part of our lives and a big ass expense that we have, but we got to. That being said, when companies try to conglomerate and just become this unstoppable, unbeatable force, it's too big to topple over because it's the only source of food that we got. It's just, it's suspect to say the least. But also it's dangerous because as we continue to get an influx of people coming into Denver, not only migrants but actual people coming from other states that are trying to become citizens, we need food. We need places to go to get food. And we need convenience in that sense that we can get the prices and the quality of the food that we know we deserve. And we know where it's coming from and we know exactly the motives of the company. Because it's important. It's important to know exactly what we're putting in our bodies and where we're getting it from, where they're getting it from. And yeah, it's affordable because like I said, families ain't out here picking money off of money trees. We actually out here scouring to find it and it's not as easy as you think. So I'm watching this matter closely and I think that you should too if you live in the Denver area or Colorado as a whole, just keep an eye out on it because companies do not care about us. They don't. The bottom line is the bottom line. And as long as there's enough people to pay for it, then that's all they need. The rest can kick rocks. The rest can die off. The rest can, you know the rest pretty much. But I really just hope, I hope it doesn't go through. Honestly because I shop at King Soopers. I only shop at Safeway occasionally. They have a little deal on some Sprite. I'm a Sprite head so I got it. But I'm not for the conglomerating and monopolizing of companies because that hurts me. At the end of the day it hurts me and everybody who's just trying to make it in this world. So yeah, that being said, that's how I feel about that. And we're going to go into our last little topic for today. It's going to be a little short pod today because I got stuff to do, y'all. And honestly didn't have that much on the docket. Not much happened this week. It wasn't very eventful. But next week we hope to change it because, well, we hope that changes because we love to talk. Because we love to talk and we love to talk to y'all and we love to talk about it. So that being said, I got a war. I'm going to war with the USPS. Alright? Fuck those motherfuckers. Fuck those motherfuckers to hell. Alright? The UPS, basically, not UPS but United Post Service, fucked my goddamn package to shit. And they had the nerve to make me pay $40 for it on top of being in the wrong package. Like they literally repackaged my shit, said that I didn't have a tracking number. But why didn't I have a tracking number? Because they took it out the box with the tracking number on it. So therefore it was my fault that I worked at the post office for the time being that that happened. That's basically what happened. That's basically what happened. They told me. I pull up to the post office with my little tracking numbers and stuff trying to find out what's going on. This Nigerian, fat-ass, motherfucking person just is sitting at the counter arguing with white people and I'm just laughing not knowing that I'm next and I get to deal with it. I get to the counter, just simply want him to pick up the package and got the tracking number. I told him what it was and he simply just, I do not see the package on the paper. I must go get my manager. Do you have any fragile, breakable things inside the package? And I said no. But I'm not sure what the package is because it's in a completely different box than what I shipped it in. He said, well you're going to have to pay $40 to release the package because we don't have a tracking number. So you can't prove that you actually paid for the postage. Well then how did it get here? If I didn't pay for it then how did it get there? I don't understand that. I don't understand that. That's the thing. So you're basically doing a leg away thing. You paid for it to get there and then you're going to text me again? That don't make no fucking sense because I know I'll fucking pay for it. It was paid. The transaction was made and it was completed. So therefore, I'm going back and forth with him and he gets his manager and basically tells me I'm fucked. So I basically paid the $40 and I find out that it is one of my most prized possessions that I had shipped back to Colorado. And my late mother's elephant that she had kept in her house for a very long time was very precious to all of us. And she gave it to me before she died. So I was crushed pretty much. I was crushed but you can't show emotion in this world because what's the point? They don't care. Pay your bills, shut up and die. That's the motto. So it's just a lesson to never, ever, ever, ever use the UPS if you have anything valuable. The minute that you put your possessions or anything that you care about in the hands of other people, the probability of failure or something going wrong goes up 100%. The best way to go about it is to do it yourself y'all because the best hands to be in is your own. And that way you can blame yourself and nobody has to fucking pay for your transgressions. But that being said, it was a whole ordeal y'all. I got most of my stuff from the place but it's just moving in general is just stressful because even if you have a lot of stuff, even if you have the money to pay for it to be transported, anything could happen. These people do not care regardless if it's just a paycheck to them and any other job really. In this world, we are just living to live and trying to get by. So that being said, I can't really say that I blame anybody but I do blame it for happening. I fucking hate the universe for making it hard on me. It's already hard enough y'all. It's already hard enough. I just want to be just left alone and just everything go right until it doesn't have to and I can die. That's not how life works but wouldn't it be nice? That being said, we're going to go to our next topic today and that's Donald Trump. We're going to talk about him because he's been in the news for all this money he owes and I haven't seen any type of receipt or any type of bank statement. Where is he getting this money from? He was a billionaire. Hasn't been a billionaire for a long time. Since before he was in the White House. The more the fucking billion left his bank account, the minute he started running for president. It's a lot. Got people in here. Who's really trying to support this man? He's selling shoes. I saw that he was selling gold shoes to try to offset his finances and his debt and they're going for like 30, 40k. People are buying them. There's a couple pairs in circulation. That ain't putting a debt in the millions and millions and millions that you owe. You ain't going to be able to pay it either. You're going to have to fucking go to jail and all the money that you were going to make will be set into an account for the rest of that company's life and long after you're gone you're going to be paying that. And your family's going to be paying that. Good thing y'all are a bunch of rich white people. The family wealth, it's got a little juice left in the tank. That being said, Trump, he's in a little hot water. But he's still going up in the polls. I don't know. They're trying to say if he's going to run or not. Or if he's going to be able to run or if his campaign is actually going to be valid. I don't know how it wouldn't be. People love to do this thing where they like to say the truth. But do something totally different from what they're supposed to do when the truth has come about. That being said, it's Trump. It's politics. It's messy. But what are you going to do? What are you going to do? I mean, what can you do? Pay taxes and go to work. That being said, y'all, I think we are about done with this episode. This has been the High Yellow Podcast. And I'm your boy Milo. And you have a good rest of your week. And we're going to catch you next time on the H-Y-E-L-L-E Podcast. Thank you. .
