Four friends discuss their top five restaurants and try to come up with a consolidated list. They have a mix of cuisines, including Japanese, Italian, steakhouse, seafood, and casual/affordable. They agree that a steakhouse should be number one and discuss the importance of atmosphere. They decide on a top five list: steakhouse, atmosphere, Italian, casual/affordable, and seafood. They debate the specific restaurants for each category and ultimately decide on the Capital Grill as their number one choice. Hi professor, today we're going to be discussing our top five restaurants. We each came up with five independently, and it is me, Muhammad, Drew, and you. Yeah, we're going to be discussing them and consolidating them into a top five list for all of us. So to start off this podcast, I will be giving you my top five list, then Muhammad will be giving you his top five list, and then Kayden will be going. And just for a little background, our lists are a little mixture of every type of restaurant from steakhouse to seafood. So to start off with my top five list, my number one is Gekko, which is a Japanese restaurant in Miami owned by pop singer Bad Bunny. My number two is Morton's Steakhouse in Seaport. Number three is Rial Gusto in Medford, an Italian restaurant. Number four is the Melding Pot Fondue restaurant in Burlington. And number five is Legal Seafoods in Seaport. Okay, so my top five list is first I have Nobu, which is in Malibu, and it's a Japanese restaurant. And then I have White Robata, which is also a Japanese restaurant in Kuwait, in the Jabal Ahmed Culture Center. And then I have Salty Girl, which is located in Boston, in Boyston, and it's seafood. And then I have Intercut, which is a steakhouse, and it has a lot of branches all over the world. And my last restaurant to start the station, which is American Tapas in Kuwait. This is Kayden, and on my top five list, I have Texas Roadhouse, some of the best rolls around in a classic big chain steak restaurant. Number two, I have Capital Grill, high-end steakhouse, very good, very expensive, however. Number three, I have Asaggio's, it's in the North End, an Italian restaurant, probably some of my favorite food in the North End. Number four, I have Legal Seafoods, some of the best chain restaurant seafood that can be provided, I guess. And number five, Buttermilk and Bourbon, another chain restaurant with a New Orleans-style grill. And I think they're all great. So now we're at the point of this podcast where we will be taking our top five list and making one top five list for all together. And we'll start off with, like, what are the kind of restaurants we will think will be top five. And I don't know about you guys, but me personally, I think a steakhouse is always supposed to be the number one restaurant and a top five list. I can see what you mean. A steakhouse could be, I think they provide the best food overall, but I think when you go to a restaurant, you're paying for the overall experience. So I would argue that the best, the most important factor would be the overall atmosphere, the vibe of the comfort, and I don't know, anyone else? I also think that the steakhouse should be number one, because I think that steaks are the best type of food. Okay, so we think we've came to an agreement that steakhouse is number one and the atmosphere should be number two. So for the number three spot, I don't know about you guys. I think Italian should be number three, because Italian cuisine has, like, a lot of foods to pick from, and it's known all over the world. I agree. I mean, being in Boston, we have to, we're right around the North End, so we have a lot of restaurants at our disposal, high-class restaurants, low-class, I guess, restaurants where you're there for just the atmosphere. The food's also a huge bonus there, and I think we've all just developed a palate for it. So, you know, I disagree with you guys, because I believe that, like, a casual, affordable place you can go on a normal, like, Wednesday afternoon with your friends should be, like, in the middle spot for a list, but since you guys have Italian as your number, both have it as your number three, we can go Italian number three, and I don't know if you guys agree, but we can go casual slash affordable would be, like, our number four spot. Yeah, I guess I concur with that opinion. Casual and affordable, it's kind of like, you're not paying for a crazy club experience or, like, a vibey club experience, but you're paying to go with the ones you love and enjoy the food overall, and also, it doesn't hurt the wallet too much, so, yeah. Yeah, and I also agree that four should be casual restaurants, and five should be seafood, because, you know, seafood is, like, pure food, and you're eating right from the ocean, and you know what you're eating is good, and that's why I think seafood should be five. I completely agree. I don't know. Caden? Yeah, I agree. I mean, also, given the fact that we're, like, on the water, there's, we have a lot of restaurants at our disposal, like I said, and I got one restaurant of mine, Legal Seafood, for the number five spot. I was going to say the same thing. I think Legal Seafood should be our number five. I think Salty Girls should be number five, which is on Boyston, because they have a really nice restaurant, but since Caden and I think Legal Seafood is five, we'll go with five. So now we will be getting more into the restaurants that fit into each category. We already just said that number five is Legal Seafood, and our fourth category was casual slash affordable restaurants, and I really do think Texas Roadhouse is the perfect casual restaurant. They have really good food, really good bread for a very cheap price, and it'll be you guys. For mine, my number four spot in the casual affordable category was Buttermilk and Bourbon, although it's under consideration. I think Texas Roadhouse, the rolls there are extremely good. You're there. You're there for a, not too expensive experience, the steak, but yeah. I think the third station should be number four, which is Balcon & Quest, because of the outdoor seating, which is nice in the winter, and also the food there is amazing, and it's like really casual, and you can go there whenever you want. I don't need to dress up, and also the food there is nice, like the fries and the chicken wings and the burgers. So we need to come to a consensus. What do you guys think? I've never been to that restaurant. Muhammad just said. I don't even want to pronounce it, but I think Texas Roadhouse is going to have to take the cake here, just based on overall quality of steak. You're combining casual and affordable, along with the steakhouse, and great rolls, great drinks, great everything. I agree, because it's also a farm site, so it makes sense. Perfect. So now our number three category is Italian, and from our top five lists, we only had two Italian restaurants, Rial Gusto and Asagios, and I personally think Rial Gusto should be the number three spot for Italian food, but. Based on overall atmosphere and dining enjoyment experience, I don't know. I think, I don't think Drew's ever been to Asagios. I've never been to Rial Gusto, but I think we're probably just going to have to rock, paper, scissors, and take it from there, but. All right, let's see it right here, right now. Rock, paper, scissors. One, two, three. One, two, three. All right, Asagios is going to take it, just based on overall atmosphere, it's a great dining experience in the north end of the balcony. Handcuffs, paper, beets, rock. I think the number two spot should be for Nobu Marubu, because it's on the beach, and it has good vibes, and the fish there is really nice. It's from the beach, Marubu. And after some research, I did say the Melting Pot at first, for some barbecue cultures, but I do not think Nobu Marubu. I would say the greatest of all time restaurant, my number one spot for steakhouses would be Capital Grill. I would say that it's Intercourt, because there's like a really nice sauce there that no other restaurants can do. And I would say Morton's, but I think because we've all been to the Capital Grill, we have decided that that should be our number one spot for our top five list. Also it has really good desserts. Yes. Yes. Yes.
