The morning meditation begins with a prayer of gratitude and a request for God's presence during the study of His word. The theme for today's devotion is pressing on beyond revival, with a scripture reading from Hosea. The believer's journey is compared to a physical journey, where revival is not the end but a means to reach the desired destination. The prophet Hosea encourages believers to acknowledge the Lord and press on to know Him. The Holy Spirit's help is necessary for completing the journey. Jesus is emphasized as the way and the destination. Revival strengthens believers to establish the necessary foundations for spiritual growth. The devotion ends with a prayer for understanding, steadfastness, and the glorification of God's name. Listeners are encouraged to stay tuned for more Spirit-filled content. Shalom, wonderful family, and welcome to today's morning meditation. Let us pray. Father, we thank you for this new day. Lord, we thank you for our lives and for your goodness and mercy towards us. Father, this morning we pray for your presence to be with us as we study your word. Breathe over us once more as we hear your word and empower us to be obedient to it. In the name of Jesus, we pray for thanksgiving. Amen. Let us kindly take our confession from Joshua 1 verse 8. Joshua 1 verse 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. The theme for today's devotion is Press on Beyond Revival, and our scripture reading will be taken from Hosea chapter 6 verse 1 to 3. Hosea chapter 6 verse 1 to 3 I'll be reading from the World English Bible. Come, let us return to the Lord, for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us. He has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him. Let us acknowledge the Lord, and let us press on to know the Lord. As surely as the sun rises, the Lord will appear. He will come to us like the rain, and the spring rain that waters the earth. Amen. Beloved, the life of the believer is a journey, and like every journey, it requires steady steps to be taken in the right direction in order to reach the desired destination. For the believer, being born again is the first step in the journey, but it is by no means the last. The same goes for revival. As a church, over the past week, we have fasted and waited on the Lord and cried out to him for revival. We had to cry out for revival because many of us had run out of steam and energy. Many of us had come to a standstill, and some of us had even begun backtracking, having lost sight of the destination. Some of us, by virtue of some choices we have made, had fallen prey to the enemy and his traps, and had been injured and torn to pieces. Yet still, we had hope. All hope found us, because we are assured by God's word, through the prophet Hosea, that God has a standing and sure promise to heal, revive, and restore us when we come to him in humility and repentance. Indeed, the Lord has honored his word and he has healed and revived us. But what next? Once again, this revival is not the end of the journey. The prophet Hosea once again tells us what the next step is after we have been revived. In verse 3 of our scripture reading today from Hosea chapter 6, he says, Let us acknowledge the Lord. Let us press on to know the Lord. As surely as the sun rises, the Lord will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth. Amen. Beloved, if we will successfully complete this journey we are on, it won't be by our strength nor by our might, but by the help and enablement of the Holy Spirit of God. The prophet Hosea cautions us to acknowledge the rightful place of the Lord in our lives as our Lord, Savior, and Helper. He also admonishes us to press on, to press on to know the Lord. The Lord Jesus said in John chapter 14 verse 6 that, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. This was Jesus' response when Thomas asked, and I believe that he asked for all of us, what the destination of the believer is and how exactly the believer might get there. So, beloved, there is every need to know the Lord. We must press on to know Him. For He is both the way and the destination. Amen. Beloved, we are still on a journey. Revival is not an end, but a means to an end. In the strength of revival, we must lay down the foundations necessary for us to press on to know the Lord. We must put in place the necessary structures that will enable us to keep the fires of our devotional altars burning continually. Beloved, let us continue steadfastly in our study of God's Word, in fellowship with the saints, in prayer, in fasting, and in obedience to the teachings and instructions of the Lord. And as surely as the sun rises, the Lord will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth. Amen. Let us take our memory verse from Hosea chapter 6 verse 3. Let us acknowledge the Lord. Let us press on to know the Lord. As surely as the sun rises, the Lord will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth. Amen. Let us pray. Thank you, Father, for your Word that has come to pass this morning. Lord, even as you have revived us, help us to press on to know you more. Grant us understanding of who you are and continually reveal your truth to us. Establish us, make us steadfast in you, and cause your name to be glorified in our lives. In the name of Jesus, we pray with thanksgiving. Amen. Thank you for listening, and stay tuned for more Spirit-filled content on Radio ACI Today. Until we come your way once again tomorrow morning at the same time, do stay blessed.
