The poor widow's offering caught Jesus' attention because she gave all she had, while others gave from their abundance. God wants us to give our best, not just in offerings and tithes, but also in our time, gifts, and talents. We should spend quality time with God, seek the Holy Spirit's help, and put effort into serving Him. God values the quality of our offerings, not just the quantity. We should approach God with a sincere heart, not out of compulsion. Let's resolve to give God our best each day. [♪ Música de piano ♪ [♪ Música de piano ♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ God is interested in every detail of what we have to offer to him, our gifts, our talents, our service, our offerings, our time, and many others. Of all the people that brought their offerings to the temple that day, as Jesus stood and watched, it was the poor widow's offering that caught his attention. This poor widow did not give out of the abundance or excesses she had like the others did, she simply gave all she had at that moment. She gave her best. She did not consider her predicament as a poor widow who would have nothing to eat or anyone to take care of her. She just gave all she had. This is what God requires of us, to give our best anytime we approach him. Brethren, aside from giving God the best of our offerings and tithes as we have just learned from the poor widow, we can also give to God the best of our time, our gifts, and our talents. Out of the 24 whole hours we have in each day, we can give God the best of our time by spending quality time with him on the personal, family, and church level. To avoid rushing and going through these as a mere ritual for each day, we can seek help from the Holy Spirit to help us to be focused in prayer and give attention to his word once we appear before him. Also, with our gifts and talents, we can offer our best to God by putting in every needed effort to look beyond every possible obstacle of self, like timidity and laziness, to ensure that we are giving our all and pursuing after excellence while singing in the choir, playing on that instrument, or arranging those seats as an act of service to God. Beloved, God does not just look at the enormity of what we can offer, he also looks at the quality of what we bring. The poor widow gave very little in the sight of man, but Jesus Christ regarded that as more than all the rest of them. Dear ones, for every single day that passes by, we have an opportunity to give God our very best in every single thing that we do. We need to be very deliberate about our offerings and services to God. We must carefully consider how we approach the Lord's orders in our lives so as not to do the things we do for God out of compulsion or mere responsibility. It must be from a place of total surrender, total understanding, and a sincere heart. Ponder over these words and resolve to give God your best from today. Amen. Our memory verse for today will be from Luke chapter 21 verses 3 to 4. I tell you the truth, Jesus said, this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them, for they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has. Amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Our Lord and Master Jesus, we thank you so much for your word that has come to us this morning. We thank you for this word of encouragement to give our best to you. We pray for grace, O God, to be able to give our all, to give our best to you in everything that we do. In Jesus' mighty name have we prayed, with thanksgiving. Amen. God bless you for being a part of today's morning glory devotion.
