The hosts, Grayson and Zoe, recap their fifth grade week at Midway. They discuss their highlights in math, reading, and science. They also mention upcoming goals for the next week, including learning about multiplication, continuing to focus on the theme in reading, and studying chemical changes in science. They share upcoming events at Midway Stadium, such as picture day, tie-dye day, and a curriculum day. They give shoutouts to classmates and teachers, and mention a need for supplies. They end by thanking listeners and wishing them a great weekend. Welcome to Teen Gays in the Highlight Zone! I'm Grayson. And I'm Zoe. Another fabulous fifth grade week at Midway. There are some of our home-run highlights. In math, we finished rounding this third. On Thursday, we took a quiz. In reading, we continued reading the book we started. We also focused on discovering the theme of the story. In science, we finished up our discussion on physical changes and we began learning about states of water. Be sure to ask your child about what experiments they did this week. I'm enjoying the book restart. My favorite part is all the drama that's going on in the book. Here are some of our goals we're shooting for next week. In math, we will start learning about multiplication using greater numbers. In reading, we will continue learning about the theme. We will review what we have learned so far in reading and take a test on Thursday. In science, we will learn about chemical changes. Next week at Midway Stadium, we have lots of events going on. Monday is picture day. Bring your best smile! Tuesday, bust out your tie-dye. Come to school wearing tie-dye. Wednesday, wear a colorful beach shirt. Thursday is our curriculum day. You can attend session one at five o'clock or session two at six o'clock. The wonderful PTO will have a meeting at 445. We hope you can all attend. Friday, wear your favorite college colors. Don't forget it's an early release day. Monday, September 4th is a no school day. I want to give a big shout out to our classmates this week. Gabe for earning 30 points for a pizza celebration. Ananya, Colin, Matthew, and Skanda. Thanks for always being kind to others. Keep up the great work. We want to also shout out the amazing Ms. Thomas, Ms. Ross, and Ms. Ogilvie for being our wonderful finalists for Teacher of the Year. We are so lucky to have all the incredible teachers here at Midway who make our school a happy place to be. Our class is in need of a variety of supplies.
