Hello, my name's Jenny and I'm delighted to share a little with you today about releasing tension and becoming aware of the spirit, body and soul connection with the holy family. Firstly, gather some supports as we will be lying on the floor. Have handy beside you some cushions, including a couple of small ones and or a yoga bolster or some folded blankets or towels. I use a yoga block under the up end of a longways place yoga bolster and a small pillow for my head. But anything is okay and each of us will require different levels of support. Now let's set up to relax some of your lower back muscles, which often hold tension due to your daily movement patterns. And then from this place of rest, you can explore receiving Father's breath as the spirit being that you are and releasing it into your body and your soul. Bringing Father's breath of new life to revive and restore your body as your body is supported physically, restoring the flow of energy and movement in your whole body. Place some of your supports behind you, they will support your head and upper spine from your shoulder blades up or where your brow line would be, but no lower. You want to leave space for your ribs to relax down. Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front. Consciously relax your thigh muscles until your hamstrings, the muscles on the back of the thighs, rest on the floor. Try slowly rocking your pelvis to see if untucking your pelvis allows the hamstrings to let go. Photo one. And then begin to lower your body down, stopping just before the backs of your thighs, lift away from the floor. It may not take very far for this to happen, but that's okay. Your muscles will only respond when they feel safely supported where they are right now. Bolster or cushion up to that height, until you are lying comfortably supported, no strain anywhere. Notice where your chin is. Photo two. Now place another smallish cushion or folded towel under your head. Notice how your chin is now drawn down towards your chest, rather than jutting up towards the ceiling. Feel the back of your neck lengthen. Photo three. Slide your hands in and out under your ribs to check that there is space for them to lower towards the floor. Make sure your hamstrings are touching the floor. Check with your thumbs and forefingers that your lower ribs and hip bones are on a horizontal level, so that your ribs are not flaring up towards the ceiling. Photo four. Now place your arms comfortably a little way out from your sides and turn your palms upwards. See if you can roll the tops of your shoulders outwards. And notice how your thumbs come towards the floor when you do. Your body is now in a supported position. Focus your awareness into your body as it is now. Allow your ribcage to let go. Just allow your body to soften, to melt down into the floor. Breathe in 2, 3, 4 and out 2, 3, 4. Again, breathe in 2, 3, 4, hold and out 2, 3, 4. Breathe in unconditional love and out any lack. Ask the family to help you focus into any place holding tension and breathe into that spot, letting a little tension wash away with each out breath. Keep that awareness as you keep taking deep slow breaths. In this place of rest, with the Father, with Jesus, with Holy Spirit, we can see with their eyes who they see us as, as the God spirited spirit beings that we are. So join with me if you choose to and come boldly before the Holy Family, thanking them for their limitless love. Thank you Abba, Jesus, Holy Spirit that you love me unconditionally and that your love is limitless. Thank you Father for empowering me to carry the creative, life-giving energy of your spirit into my body and my soul, into my life here on earth. Thank you that I am and always was loved unconditionally. Thank you Holy Spirit for your loving guidance. Thank you Jesus that I get to exchange my control for the freedom of your love. Thank you Father that I can come into your presence and breathe in your breath of life into my spirit being and breathe it out into my body, into my soul and beyond. Thank you Father that I am conducting your breath just as you breathed life into Adam Father. I carry your frequency of life and love. Thank you Jesus that I inhabit your spirit and that I was designed to house you. Acts 17, 28 For in him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring. Jesus Christ is in us and he brings his Father and Holy Spirit with him. Thank you Abba that your love is limitless and unconditional. Thank you family that you delight in me coming to you and receiving your love. You adore me. Thank you that I can rest in your love as by still waters. Melt into their support just like you are melting into the cushions. They knew us before the foundations of the world and as you rest you are loving on your body and loving on your soul the same as they love on you. You are being like them. Father I draw close to you face to face and breathe in your breath. John 4, 23 and 24 in the mirror says in true spirit worship from within face to face with the Father acknowledging our genesis in him this is his delight. Take a deep breath in Father I breathe in your breath and breathing out I release it through my body. Your breath containing the fertile mists of the waters of life those waters Jesus said he would give us if we ask waters that never will run dry. Breathe in 2, 3, 4 and out 2, 3, 4 breathe in Fathers love in his breath breathe out release Fathers love through your body. Feel your back ribs relaxing even your front ribs releasing tension. Feel your nervous system let go feel your body melt fractionally further towards the floor. Breathe in 2, 3, 4 and out 2, 3, 4 breathe in Fathers life breathe out releasing life into your body. Become aware of the rivers of living water in Fathers breath flowing through every cell in your body regenerating cells releasing tension you were not even aware of as your body softens more with each out breath. Ask Holy Spirit to direct your attention to any sensations that you feel and thank your body for that feedback. You might say body I love you I breathe new life into you I am sorry I have not loved you well now I am bringing you new life in Fathers breath regenerating cells aligning your systems body with Jesus love and connection. Touch your palms to your thighs and sense any holding in your quads check each side Check your ribs are relaxed down place a hand on your sternum take in another deep breath of Fathers breath 2, 3, 4 receive it and release it fully into your body notice it flowing relax your neck relax your jaw wiggle it a little side to side your chin is in a neutral position not jutting up your jaw is drawn down and back in line with your ears feel the back of your neck relaxed and long your head is supported relax down the sides of your neck allow your shoulders to sink down your arms align comfortably a little out from your sides palms up take another deep breath in 2, 3, 4 of Fathers breath and as you slowly release visualise that living breath flowing into the spirit being you are and then receiving it in your body into your shoulder blades let your arms relax relax your upper arms roll them outwards feel your thumbs coming towards the floor relax your elbows forearms your wrists hands fingers relax it's powerful when we choose to speak from our spirit being from who we really are Ephesians 519 King James Version says speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs making melody in your heart unto the Lord as the spirit being take another deep breath in 2, 3, 4 of Fathers breath of life and release it now into your soul 2, 3, 4 as a spirit being I breathe new life into you soul soul receive this breath of new life of hope of joy of peace and such love reviving you I'm sorry I did not value you soul I choose now to love you to enjoy you to give you permission to rest and not think you must act without my leading thank you for supporting me when I did not love you like father loves me you are beautiful soul I set you free into father's new life of expansion and joy in aligning with our true heavenly family I declare I am what my father says I am spirit soul and body thank you father Jesus Holy Spirit for your unconditional love and for leading all of me spirit soul and body into union with and in you I hope you enjoyed this supported rest practice I bless you to know you are a powerful God-spirited spirit being shining so bright so pure shining with the restorative love of Jesus
