Johnny from JAM Web Designs talks about using artificial intelligence (AI) to help with coding websites. He uses ChatGPT from OpenAI to get prompts and ideas for creating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Johnny explains that HTML provides the structure, CSS adds styling, and JavaScript handles functionality. He also mentions how AI has helped with illustration and image editing. He mentions a new solution that can turn an image into a video. Johnny emphasizes that he uses mostly free tools, except for Adobe Illustrator, which he finds worth the cost. Well, hello. This is Johnny from JAM Web Designs, and I'm here to chat about coding with AI. So I developed this technique of using artificial intelligence to give me prompts for creating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a web developer, iterating on different versions can take a long time, but using ChatGPT from OpenAI, it's really simple. You just go ahead and ask it like a question, like you would anybody you're talking to, and it interprets it pretty well. There are some caveats. You want to build the application starting from the HTML portion, get that structure squared away, because that's like if you're going to put a brick and mortar shop up, you're going to want to have it all framed up. So when you go in to view a shop, there's usually not much in the space that you're going to rent or buy. That's like HTML, you want the structure just to be just right. Then CSS puts a nice face on the storefront. It does all the styling. JavaScript is like your warehouse worker in charge of all the product from shipping to receiving. So altogether, those are the three components that I look at as a visual representation when I talk about coding websites. So it's been a fun journey and I've really enjoyed the creative process, especially how AI has helped. It's not only just helped in the website building and iteration, it also has helped for illustration. So I can iterate extremely fast on multiple images. Now, I'm toying around with, there's a new solution out there where you can feed it an image, and it creates a video out of that image. So you can have somebody talk or do different things. It's quite interesting. So AI has really come a long way, and there's many other aspects of it. But I've built this business around creating stunning websites using tools that are free. There is one tool that I paid for, and that is Adobe Illustrator. But that's really less than 10 bucks on my iPad for illustrations, creating PNGs and SVG files for websites. So I've spent a lot of money on that. So I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that. I've spent a lot of money on that.
