The speaker discusses a controversial call in the Adam LZ vs. Matt Field top 32 conflict in a drifting competition. They analyze the first battle, where Matt Field leads, and conclude that Matt Field had a good run, while Adam made some mistakes in the chase. They stack up the second battle, where Adam leads, and argue that Matt Field was at fault for clipping Adam and making his run incomplete. However, the judges rule in favor of Matt Field, stating that the contact wasn't enough to disrupt Adam's run. The speaker suggests that this battle would have been a good one to protest, but LZ didn't protest, and Field himself admitted he got lucky. The speaker questions if there is no way to run a protest and asks for viewers' opinions on the call. Do you agree with this call? Let's analyze and talk about the Adam LZ vs. Matt Field top 32 conflict. We're going to start out by watching the first battle here where Matt Field leads. Coming down the hill, Matt Field is pretty good into that zone, so is Adam. Going up the hill, Adam has proximity, but he does gather it up and close the door. Right there, trying to make some moves, he's close, he's close, transitions well, there's space between them, Adam falls back just a little bit, and then he comes closer again, finishing out the course. So Matt Field has a pretty good lead run, Adam made a few mistakes in the chase, but not terrible. I would give that to Matt Field though, for that run. Alright, let's stack him up again. Here comes Adam LZ leading this time, down the hill. Matt Field tries to go early through there, he straightens out through there, now he has to play catch up coming through here. He straightens out again, he's just trying too hard here. He makes up the gap here, but too much. He clips Adam there and Adam stalls out. Now in a perfect world, the judges would look at this and say, okay, Adam did not get to complete their lead run while Matt Field did. Who was at fault? I believe that Matt Field was at fault for clipping Adam LZ, not giving him room to transition, not giving him the room on his lead run, making that run incomplete. They need to come back, they need to do it one more time for that battle. But the judges say that Adam LZ is at fault here. They say the contact wasn't enough to disrupt Adam's lead run. That Adam just should have powered through it and that it wasn't enough contact, giving the win to Matt Field. This would be a perfect battle to protest and slow it down even more from more camera angles and say, look, this is what happened. He did in fact stall out my lead run. I hit my bump stops, I went full lock, and I had to shut it down. There was no possible way I could have kept going and risked wrecking into each other. However, there was no protest from LZ, it wasn't allowed, Matt Field got the win, and actually in Matt Field's interview he said he got lucky. So Matt Field didn't even agree that he won fair and square. Is there no way to run a protest? Is there no way to take another look at this? Because obviously from both sides something is up. But it's in the past now, that's why we're talking about it here on Wednesday. Let me know what you guys think about this call. Was this, do you agree with it, do you disagree with it? And tell me why in the comments. I would like to know your perspective on what should have happened versus what did happen. But I will see you guys in the next upload. Stay tuned.
