Jaylon Palmer discusses the risks athletes face in terms of injuries and the toll it takes on their bodies. He mentions that playing sports from a young age and continuously can have negative effects on a person's physical well-being. He criticizes the focus on entertainment and money in professional sports, which often overlooks the treatment and recovery of players. Palmer emphasizes that while it may be what people want to see, continuous play can be dangerous and lead to worsening injuries. He predicts that these players will likely face problems in the future as a result of their injuries. Hello, my name is Jaylon Palmer. Today I'll be talking about just athlete risk. This is what I've been going through for a long time. Just focusing on athletes and what's the risk of a player being injured and how much it takes on a person's body after playing for many years. I've been playing sports as a kid like me that's been playing since I was 5 all the way up to 19 and I'm still playing right now. Don't you guys think that that would take a toll on somebody's body? Even if it's more like a physical sport like NFL, football, basketball. All these things take a risk on the body because of so many impacts and just repetitive games. That's not really looked at that hard because people just want to see what they want to see and they want to spend money. NBA, NFL, they want to just gain money in these ways so it's not really on a player's treatment or how to give them enough time to come back and not just play every... I know that's what people want to see, even what I want to see. At the same time it can be dangerous for a player to keep playing and playing and playing and the injuries can get worse. Most of these players even do put on injuries so they do it now but there will be definitely problems later on in the future.
