Russell Wilson - Part 1

You are now tuned into the most ignorant podcast in America, this is the Unemployment Law, I am the D.O.K. and I'm sitting here with my main man Larry P. What you got to say my man? You know the saying, I always thought was a crazy saying, and it may be hood mentality, but the saying, I'd rather be carried by 6 than judged by 12, is a very wild, is that the saying? That's what some people say, some people flip it, some people flip it, they're like I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6, but there's some people, some rappers that be like I'd rather be carried by 6 than judged by 12, and I'm like huh? You what? That's a wild perspective of how life, but okay. That's a reckless perspective on your life too, like I mean do you not, you know like people need therapy man, like y'all got to talk to somebody. Y'all want to give yourself a fighting chance? Do you not want to be here? Like why do you not want to be here? Like you really think they going to find you guilty like that? Hey man, if it's my time to go, it's my time to go. Maybe don't do the crime, it's like. I mean, is there steps you can take to prevent that? Yeah, like if you really feel like you're going to be found guilty by 12 people, then don't do the crime. Yeah, how about that? You know crime is an option. Yeah. You don't have to commit crimes. Selling drugs is a process. Like you don't, you don't just be like ah man, I just got to get rid of it. No, you went in that kitchen and you turned on the stove and you got ingredients and. And technically if you don't, if you don't sell the drugs then you'll be carried by 6 anyway. You know what I mean? I mean it's just kind of like if you'd rather be carried by 6, then why not just stop selling the drugs? Because if you'd rather be killed than be in the court. But if I don't sell these drugs, they're going to kill me. Then it sounds like, I don't know, do you care about dying or not? That's, I don't know. These are compelling points, Larry. But what are we talking about this week on The Unemployment Law? Well, you'll have to tell me more because I believe we're talking this week about Russell Wilson. So, okay. Or kind of Russell Wilson. This is, I'll steer the ship this time. But by the time this, we don't know. We record some of these shows in advance. Like me and Larry don't got, like I mean we want to do the show, we do. Love doing the show. But let's change it. So we're not talking about Russell Wilson. We're talking about y'all. Because at the time, honestly, leave it up to me. I believe. By the time this was released, he's going to be on the scene? Yeah. That's not even what I'm about to talk about, though. I know, but we're talking about, I know that's not what we're talking about. But the story itself is basically kind of going to be like, oh. But I want to talk about him as a staff record label and crew. The journey. I want to talk about him and his wife. That's what I want to talk about. Let's talk about it. So, this is the thing. For those of you who don't know, Russell Wilson is a quarterback in the National Football League. He's been a quarterback for years. Trash. And a lot of you listening to this show will probably only know him because he plays football. And then the other half of you only know who he is. But here's her husband. God, I see what you do for others. Shout out to Sierra's prayer. But is that really what she prayed? I don't know what she prayed. Did she even pray anything? Well, let's start there. Sierra was going through a phase in her life where she was dating lots of men around the block. Most of them. Not the greatest of choices. People like low bow wow. Different heights, sizes, creeds and religion. People like future. Did she date 50 Cent? I think they had a fling. OK. And so she made the decision that she wanted a nice guy to a nice. She wanted a good Christian man, someone who was going to come in and step out of your child and take good care of her. And can we really can we let's let's let's let's dive a little bit deeper on this one, because can we really say that she chose Russell Wilson? Or can we say that? And this happens often that you look at the decisions that you have been making and the people that you have been dating and you say. I've been going down this path a very long time. I've ended up in the same place. Maybe I should try something different because right now, Sierra is deeply in love with Russell Wilson and everything he brings to it. But maybe that first year she's trying to break the habit and the mold of like being used to like the futures and the bow wows in the 50s. And maybe eventually what women end up doing and men as well, when they start dating somebody else on a different path, they realize how happy and peaceful their life is when they are dating a Russell Wilson. And she says, you know what? This would have never been my first choice, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. She's the type of person who would post things like y'all understand relationships are supposed to be hard. You and your boyfriend supposed to argue. Yeah, I don't know why y'all judging me like that. She was giving off that kind of energy. And then she stopped meeting dudes in the hookah lounge and met a man at Bible study. And then it was just like, oh, this is different. And she's like, you know, I'm not used to the guys treating me this way. Well, then let me see your phone, Russ. OK, here. Oh, you're just going to give me your phone and let me go through your phone. Russ, are you cheating on me? No, I'm not. For some reason, I believe you, Russell, but you've got to understand that. But that's what I'm saying. But you do have to understand that, like everybody, like the Sierra prayer and all this stuff, like you really got to understand. There's some self-reflection that has to happen as well as women or men. You know, you have to have a reflection of yourself because you can't you can get a Russell Wilson. But you also have to change the ways of things that you're doing. You know, I mean, like you can get that person and you'd be like, dang, man, like. And that's why people say like a lot of our women, y'all say I want Russell Wilson, but I don't want Russell Wilson. And it's because your actions don't show or reflect it. Because if you actually did have that person, you'd be like, dang, well, you don't you don't want to argue back with me. Or dang, like getting nothing for you to have. You can't meet a dude at the club. While you are at the club and then decide, I don't like dudes that go to the club. Like that don't like you, that that just that's just not the way that it works. Right. Like you can't be you. You got to you got to change your life. If you were expected to attract something different, you're going to keep a track. You don't like they always say like opposites attract. I think you attract who you are. People people tend to vibe with people they can do other activities with. You know, being in a relationship is not an activity. Yeah. Y'all got to have stuff y'all like to do that both of y'all enjoy. And so that meant for Sierra that she wasn't going to be able to do the same stuff she was doing to attract the type of man she wanted. I did relationship counseling once and she told me that opposites do not attract. They do not. She said that's a complete lie. False. So, yeah, opposites don't attract. And like Doc said, you a lot of times when you're trying to certain things and the people that you're dating, it's a complete reflection of you. So the reason why this comes up is Sierra and Russ have been married. Russell, this is Russell's second marriage. So let's not act like Sierra was the only one out here in relationships. Previously, Russell had a wife who was very different than Sierra, Princess Wilson. And, you know, that did not work out for him. I think Melanin. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was a big difference. Yeah. Very different. Very different. But he had been there for a while. It was then like in college and they got married. They got to the lead together. She was there. She was there when he was getting it out the mud. You know, so someone made some would say, you know, oh, he got you know, he got a little bit of money and changed, which is typically not when you meet the Sierra in this situation, but a whole different story for a different day. But what happened was. Russell Wilson had the most successful financial years of his life once he's been married this year. This man has gotten a massive contract and he decided he was going to move from Seattle to Denver. And now he's at work and his employer basically came to him and was just like, hey, this ain't working for you. Got to go. Got to get out of here. You still going to get your check, but you don't work here no more. And so now he is in a situation at the time of this recording where he needs to decide where is he going to work next? And his options are significantly impacted by his wife. And so now the question is, how much influence should your spouse have on what you do in your career? Because there's reasons why she may not want him to go certain places because it's not the money at this point. It's the location. She's used to a lifestyle. She's used to certain things. They got kids now. I mean, she went from Seattle, but she went to Seattle and then she went to Colorado. What worst locations could she be in? So here is here was his options as of the time that we're talking. New York, that's not that bad. Pittsburgh. I mean, ain't nothing to do there, but that's not that bad. Excellent. Pittsburgh ain't no different from Colorado. And then in that, I mean, come on, everybody want to be like future, but, you know, ain't nothing like going back home. Ain't nothing like going back home. Here's the thing. Let's just go ahead and rip the bandaid off. She has been able she has a toxic baby daddy, right? Now she got a new husband, new husband, stepping up, being a good stepdad, right? It may be best for his career to go to Atlanta. And it may be best for that situation for them and his career and what they're doing. Well, that's what the toxic baby daddy is. And that's what he live at. After watching Cal Newton fight two guys, I don't think I don't think future want to go, you know, go, go to ones with a rough. No. But do she want to deal with that all the time? I mean, it's going to take a couple of, like, smacks around. And, you know, I mean, it's one thing when the baby daddy got to fly into town to see the kids or the baby daddy. You got to you got to send them out, see the kids. And y'all got to meet up places. That's cool. Like you, you you can work it out because y'all got to be on a schedule at that point. But when your baby daddy can just show up at, you know, parent teacher conferences because he in town. That's different now that you got the toxic baby daddy. Now that there when you put the kid into the play, that does make a big point. She don't want to be. She's been doing very. She's been like, you know, that's my past. I don't I don't want to deal with this man. He you know, he's no good for me. He's no good for any of his other children's mothers. I'm glad we have moved far away from him because here's another thing. Here's another thing that that's a player role in all of that as well. When it comes down to like child custody type stuff, like if she goes to Atlanta. And toxic people know how to be toxic. He goes to the court, gets child custody, like the laws are kind of like the court agreement to kind of like change. She can just up and leave Atlanta after that, because they bought. Oh, yeah. You're taking the kid away from his father. And he's at a different point in his life. You know, he's just like 40 something years old. He's like 40 or 41 years old now. Oh, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. But like at this age, he's not out in them streets some more. He's not working the way he used to work. He ain't doing as much traveling. He sold all his local. So now he got all the time in the world to want to spend time with his kids. Sensational. And she's right here in town now. Now I'm fighting for joint custody. Yeah, that's crazy. Now, yeah, yeah. You can't go back to Atlanta in that case. In the kids and the kid name is future to look. But here's the problem. But that but bad, bad, bad. But this was it was best for my career. Like I want to get to do this for a certain amount of time. At the Atlanta family. I don't know that we don't want to do. Do you want cousins? Yeah. Yeah. Those are crazy options right now. Or the dress. But then. Have you seen your pick situation? Caleb Williams is the answer. Y'all can't get the number one pick. Yes, we can. No, you can't. Why not? How? The same way y'all got it. We never got the number one pick. No, I want to number three. We got the three. But we have to give up our whole future. And that's all we need to do. Chicago ain't willing to do that with you. No, we don't need to go to Chicago. We can do it. We can go to Caleb. Won't be there. No, we're not getting Caleb. We're going to get Drake, man. Yeah, I'm not going to die. But you ain't never seen Terry cook. You ain't ever seen Chef Terry with the pot. Chef Terry with the pot. Chef Terry with a shot. Come on, baby. But here's the problem for Russell Wilson. You might have to take a worse job situation just because your wife don't be. Don't want to be nowhere near her baby daddy. And let me. Well, let's also look at it this way. Let's look at it this way. Because we're going to get we go. This is where the unemployment line turns it to talk for a minute. Every situation is a worse situation for for us, because every team they need a quarterback. I ain't really doing too well. Mm hmm. So it really don't matter where you go. It doesn't matter where Sierra want to go. When we come back. We want to talk about is a happy wife, happy life or not. It's the unemployment line.
