The speaker describes their typical shift at work. They arrive early to check the schedule and gauge how the day will be. If it's quiet, they expect a busy day, but if their colleagues are energetic, they anticipate a fun day. They enjoy making drinks and spend a few hours on the bar, while the rest of their shift is spent talking to customers or taking orders outside. Overall, they find their job enjoyable. Well, a typical shift for me, I don't really know what I'm doing until I get there, so I try to get there about ten minutes early so I can get a look at the schedule to see what I'm doing. Yeah, so when I walk in, I'm just like, hey guys, and everyone's just like, hey, and I can usually tell what the day's going to be like right from there. So if it's kind of dead, it's going to be really busy, or if it's like, if they're really full of energy, then I'm going to be full of energy and it's going to be a really fun day. So, yeah, I love being on bar, making drinks, and I'm usually up there for like a good two or three hours of my shift, and the other two or three I'm like out the window talking to customers or I'm taking orders outside, so yeah, pretty fun.
