Michigan women's basketball is heading to Minneapolis for a winnable first-round matchup. They would face a tough challenge against Indiana in the second round. Men's and women's track and field are competing in the NCAA Indoor Championship in Boston. Hockey has a winnable matchup against Notre Dame in the Big Ten Tournament. Wrestling is competing in the Big Ten Championships, with Austin Gomez qualifying for the Olympics. Nia and I will be covering the championships in College Park, Maryland. So looking ahead to the next week in Michigan sports, women's basketball is going to travel to Minneapolis. They'll play likely the winner of Rutgers or Minnesota. Both these teams, they beat in the regular season. Rutgers they beat twice, Minnesota they beat once, and Minnesota is currently without their best players. So this is a really winnable first-round matchup. As a sixth seed, they would play Indiana in the second round, who would be a really tough team. This would be a tough challenge for them. And Michigan has really struggled so far against stiff competition, but it would be a good chance to improve their rankings, and a run is always possible in March. So we'll see how that shakes out in Minneapolis. And then men's and women's track and field are competing in the NCAA Indoor Championship in Boston. As mentioned earlier, Asia Lawrence and Samantha Sutherland are both competing in the 60-meter and 400-meter, while the men's teams have five runners qualifying. They are Dubin Amine, Tom Brady, Miles Brown, Nick Foster, and Trent McFarland. McFarland, Amine, Brown, and Foster will run the distance medley relay after a school record time of 9 minutes, 19 seconds. And they placed second at the Big Ten Indoor Championships earlier. And Amina will also run the 400-meter. Hockey will, as we mentioned earlier, compete in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament against Notre Dame. Again, similar to women's basketball, this is a really winnable matchup, and they'll look to improve their pairwise rankings with a series victory. They'll look to really score goals against Notre Dame, who has a really stout defense. They've really excelled on the defensive side all year, and Michigan will look to really attack offensively and get out on the board first. And then wrestling is competing in the Big Ten Championships this weekend. This comes after they shut out Central Michigan in their last duel of the season. Big news for wrestling, as Austin Gomez just qualified for the Olympics. They also have really strong wrestlers in Shane Griffith, Dio Agostino, Lemley had a moment where he defeated, number one, Real Woods. Their heavyweight, Lucas Davidson. So all around a strong team as they head into the championships. And Nia and I will both be traveling to College Park, Maryland to cover the Big Ten Championships, so stay tuned for coverage from us. That should be all we have for you guys today. Thank you so much for tuning in. Thanks.
