For instance, some people think that everyone in California is rich and famous, but that's not the reality. What is stereotyping? A view or represent as a stereotype. A stereotype can be described as a belief that oversimplifies specific things about people or locations. Stereotypes cannot be described as truth, but instead as opinions. For example, California only has rich and famous people, not people who are poor.
