Toward the end of his third missionary journey (circa 57 AD), the Apostle Paul, from the city of Corinth, writes to both Jewish and Gentile believers in Rome. The letter begins with Paul expressing sincere thankfulness for the brothers' and sisters' faith and the divine power of the gospel, not only to bring salvation to those that believe in it but also to defeat the power sin has over their lives. In his letter he includes a clear explanation of The Law's purpose and its necessity.
