How was it this year? Well, it was super fun This year was really awesome So far I think 2024, the rest of it Is going to be super cool Boy, I think so too You've got some good gigs coming up In fact, you're going back to one of the venues This is one of the venues that I really love Called The Local I see it on April the 5th Yeah, The Local is my favorite place to play at Is it? Because, you know When you play there It's just everybody Even the audience The people you're playing with It feels like everyone's just family to you Honestly Yeah, that is pretty cool I'm good friends with Jeff Reed And Dustin Blankman We talk all the time He books artists for The Local And he cooks some really killer barbecue too Always showing pictures of his leftover ribs Yeah, he's full of really good people Yeah, making me hungry So let's talk about your current single Kickin' It Country How did this one come about? And I saw the songwriters on there So you got pitched a pretty good song Yeah, you know I wrote this with Scott Baerger And Bill DeLuigi And we were just like Man, we should write You know, actually Before Kickin' It Country We were writing a bunch of Not too I was writing a bunch of Not too upbeat songs More of like Getting down songs So I was like Man, we should write A fun song So that's kind of where it came from Well, that is awesome Now, you're only 13 years old So for the people that haven't heard Our first two interviews How young were you When this interest in music Really started to take off for you? Well, I was About five years old probably Five, wow How about that? So And The songwriting At what age did you start doing that? Well, I started songwriting Like a couple of months Before I moved to Nashville Probably at 12 That's awesome Now, it says too That you're also an actress And a voiceover artist And I love doing that I love doing voiceovers And You know, I do Do a pretty good SpongeBob And a pretty good Mr. Krabs For cartoons and animated stuff But It is a lot of fun Now, I'm no actor Or model Or anything like that Like you are But you've also appeared In numerous films So tell us Kind of how that got started for you Well It kind of got started out Well Man Trying to remember I haven't Thought about that You know I started acting Like A long time ago Probably Not as soon As I started singing music That came a little after But I think It was at Six Probably And yeah We moved to L.A. for that So I got all into it And yeah I was doing A whole bunch of films You know Yep That's awesome I'm friends with some of those folks Out there too One of them Her dad was Used to be on the Old Dick Van Dyke show And she does voiceover work now She She translates From From a certain language Into English And so She's Doing that all day long And those long reads I don't know That I could do those I can do the little Short stuff And radio liners Like we made for the radio station But like doing audio books And stuff like that That's a long day Yeah It's Really And you know It can be tiring Because sometimes You know usually When you're like When you're making it On a film thing You gotta like get up At like 5 all the way over there Start at 6am End at like 10pm It's crazy Yeah I've actually watched The 10 hour taping Of the Nashville Roadhouse Live show The one that's gonna perform Tonight at 8 o'clock And They have a They have a TV deal now A 3 year TV contract And it was a long day Because there's so many Takes and retakes When you're doing For television You know And you know They want you Looking at the camera A certain way Or doing this a certain way So It is A long day So You've also lent Lent your voice To some other singing As far as for hospice And performing For local fairs And festivals That is a neat thing I love that You volunteer your time That's cool Thank you so much Yeah You know Those are Those are Those are always Super fun to play at You know Just seeing everybody Walking around Seeing people Enjoy my music in general Yeah Absolutely Now What made you want to be Specifically a country singer There's a lot of genres Out there And for a young lady Like yourself To pick country I think that's pretty cool But But why Why country music for you? Well You know My parents Always listened to country music When I was younger So I kind of Grew up around it That probably sparked The most of it But you know I just always Loved it Honestly Yeah Well You're in the right town For it in Nashville That's for sure I sure am There's a lot of Venues there And you probably See a lot of those And hear a lot of them Just walking down Broadway I see a guy on This app called TikTok all the time Doing these lives From Broadway And man It's just You can hear the music Out on the street All the time Yeah And we've Been there several times And it's about time We go back to Nashville I've been in Branson For quite a while now And we've got a lot of Good stuff going on here too It's actually Live show capital Of the world Just based on how many Theaters are here To perform at Yeah It's crazy Well you know Lately I've been Experimenting with like A little pop Like a little Pop country Because you know I used to be a pop singer Right But yeah I'm finding out My ballads are pretty good So I'm just Experimenting lately You got my attention When you're talking About ballads I love a ballad In country music Oh yeah I'm a big fan Of power ballads They're super fun Yep And the stories That pop country music Tells too That's the things That you want to talk about You know Or sing about Could be a story Of your life You're putting your Heart and soul out there Things that are Happening to you And you'll find that out As you get a little bit older In the dating world In the relationships You know Good or bad You know You write a song about it Kind of like Taylor Swift Has always done Yeah That's kind of That's kind of That's kind of how Songwriting is Yep Yeah You know You get on a big tour Like she's doing She's been to Japan She just recently got back Before the Superbowl From Japan She just came back From Singapore She's been to Singapore And you know Playing to packed crowds Every night I mean that's the goal Isn't it? You love to perform So the more folks That you can perform In front of And that get to hear Your music The better Yeah exactly It's fun It's fun Seeing people listen Yeah It is And you know In your early years Of doing it You know Like maybe back When you were ten years old You've been doing it For a while now But how about That stage fright thing It just gets easier And easier Probably now Doesn't it?
