Fr. Tom Grufferty

Born in Co. Mayo in 1945. One of six children. Father was a farmer and Mother was a small country shop owner. Like other community members, I went to England to work in the Civil Engineering Industry. After a few years, I was accepted to study for the priesthood for the Portsmouth Diocese. I studied at All Hallows College, Drumcondra, Dublin and was ordained there in 1973. Thereafter I worked in several Parishes in Berkshire, Hampshire and Dorset. I retired to my native Mayo in 2022.
