The podcast hosts interview their peers to find out what annoys them. One person gets irritated when others belittle them by dumbing things down. They give an example of a coworker who assumed they didn't know where the produce aisle was. Another person dislikes seeing Kia Souls driving in the left lane on the highway. They feel these cars should be banned from highways altogether. Another interviewee gets frustrated by dumb people who lack intelligence and don't make an effort to learn. They share examples of classmates giving incorrect answers to simple questions. Overall, the podcast explores what grinds their gears and what irritates them in daily life. Hi, I'm Jacob Valencia. Hi, I'm McKenna DiPersia. And I'm Corbin Akers, and today we are talking about what grinds our gears. What makes you mad? What ruins your day? What grinds your gears? Quick disclaimer, this podcast can get vulgar at times and is not to be taken seriously. Now, we are interviewing our peers at Spruce Creek High School and asking them what grinds their gears. So firstly, I'm here today joined by... Iron Meadow. Yes, and today I'm going to be asking you what grinds your gears. What really gets you? What makes you mad? Well, like, on some roasts, poop. What really pisses me off the most is when people belittle me. Not like in a physical manner, but like, if someone has to dumb something down for me to get it, that's poop. It pisses me off so much. Yeah, I get it. Because I'm not five, I can understand what you're telling me. You don't have to dumb it down. Really? Really, little boy? Alright, bro. Nah, I'm messing with you. Yeah, um, can you think of an instance where this has happened in your life, like, recently-ish? Ooh, recently? Probably? Oh, I got a good example. This is when I quit my job, actually. Assumpts, right? Female bone and blood. Alright, her name's Collin. Collin, she's literally- bro, she's, like, tell her sideways, dog. Like, she goes, she's like, this customer, he needs help going to the produce aisle, right? Alright, fair enough. And then she's like, you know where that is, right? It's like, you go down there, take a left, and then go straight back. I know where the produce department is, I've been working here for a year. Type of poop. Yeah. So, that's, like, a specific example, but, like, it's just little things like that. Like, coworkers, my sister. Yeah. Really dislike people that drive a Kia Soul. Do you have any input on this? There is nothing worse than a Kia Soul in the left lane on I-95. Yes, bro. Nothing worse, bro. Yes. Yes. Dude, I'm on I-95, cruising, going 80, 85, sometimes even 90s a little bit when I just had to get a little cold. Yeah, I mean, we're in Florida. We're in Florida, right? Speed limit's always 5 to 10 miles over what's posted. Yeah. That's just a given. Yeah. See, a bus, Kia Soul, gotta be at least 2012. At least 2012, newest. Going, literally, like, faster than me. And I pull up next to the guy, I go in the middle lane, pull up next to the guy to see who's driving this. It's a grandma. Like, what business does she have going 85 in the left lane in a Kia Soul? Yeah. Like, that's poop. That pisses me off so much. Yeah. Like, you drive a Kia Soul, know your place. Yes. Your place is the right lane. You shouldn't even be on the highway at all. I'm sorry for cutting you off. Yeah. Like, you shouldn't even be on the highway at all. Yeah. If you drive a Kia Soul. I agree. Like, they should just be banned permanently on highways. I live in, like, a small area, small beach town. It's called Ponsonlet. And I, it's basically a one-lane road. And whenever I'm stuck behind a Kia Soul in the morning, they're either going, like, 15 under the speed limit or, like, 30 over. Yeah. So they're either on my tail or they're, like, nowhere to be seen. They're either, like, a NASCAR driver. Our proximity to Daytona Beach is pretty close, so I think they think they're NASCAR drivers. But, yeah, they're either going really fast or really slow. They don't pick an in-between. And I don't think any of them can drive. Well, thank you for joining me today, Hiram. Of course. Not a problem, bro. Thank you for this interview. I hope you have a great day. You too, man. Appreciate you. This is Square. Square. Today, we're here with AJ Galusto, and we're going to be talking about what drives your gears. Tell us, AJ. All right. So on some real... Poop. Dumb people, very, very aggravating. Like, for somebody to sit there and just not be intelligent. Like, I understand some people struggle and whatnot. That's fine, as long as they're putting in the effort to try to learn. But as Hiram said, when someone tries to dumb something down, if I have to dumb something down to, like, the point where I know a 5-year-old could understand, and you're sitting here... Just oblivious. Oblivious. That is so aggravating. Trying to have a conversation with somebody... That's not even putting in the effort. That's not... Well, yes, but they're just like, I... Just not happening, you know? It's just, I don't know if they can do it. Right. And so that pisses me off. So that's something that kind of runs off of Hiram's idea of what pisses him off or takes him off. Is there anything specific to you? Yes. Okay. For example, I have a teacher who asked a girl named Megan. No name drops, but, you know, Megan McLeod. Oh, yeah. He asked a simple question. It was really... These aren't the exact numbers, but it was, like, 1990, 12 years before that. And the girl says, 1983. How in the world do you subtract two even numbers and you got a three? Like, there's just no way. And it's the time zone that we've been going over for the entire year. And she's just over here, 1983? No, bro, no. So it's just really... It's annoying. I find it aggravating when people act dumb to try to either fit in or something like that. I find it hard to be around dumb people. Oh, Ava Broome, for example. Oh, we're still name dropping. Oh, yeah, Ava Broome. So I was sitting there at a dinner with a group of people, and she said something about how this couple had been together for so long. It was three weeks, by the way. But it was so long to her. Maybe her relationship just never got... Right, right, maybe. It's a personal thing. But I'm telling her, pretty much we're arguing, and I tell her, like, wow, you're so blonde. And she flips her hair at me, and it's like, you're so observant. Are you stupid? Have you never heard dumb blonde stereotype? Like, I'm not... And she was trying to act like I was the idiot for calling her blonde. Like, it was just... I would have slammed my head into the table if I wasn't afraid of ending up like her. How are you calling someone dumb? Are you basing it off their actions? Are you basing it off what they say? It could be actions, but it's really what they say and how they talk, the words they use, the way they pick things up kind of thing. Their manner. Yeah, just the way they are. Like, if they are just stupid, really aggravating. All right, well, is there anything else you'd like to add? Nope.
