Washington State transportation officials are considering raising toll prices in several areas to recover money lost during the pandemic. Toll income in the US has decreased due to the pandemic. The goal is to increase profit and reduce travel times. The changes would apply to certain lanes on I-405 and Highway 167 in 2025. In hopes to make up money that was lost during the pandemic, Washington State transportation officials are looking into increasing prices of tolls throughout Bothell, Linwood, Kirkland, Bellevue, and more. Since the pandemic, toll income across the US has declined. Washington State hopes to increase this profit while making travel times decrease. These changes would apply in 2025 to the left lanes of I-405 and Highway 167.
