All right, so I got a whole little rundown on how I join right? So my first semester I had one six four GPA Duking I was gonna drop out of school. I was gonna pursue a trade, but I had uh, I went to this It was like a block party no security guard there I was talking to him for like an hour hour and a half He like yeah, my knees about to go to EIU and everything. I'm like, yeah, that's cool Whatever. I'll tell my whole situation my grades suck. I'm about to drop out. I'm gonna do a trade school Whatever he looked at me like we talked for an hour and a half. I swear to God I told him the only way I go back to school is if I became if I joined a fraternity He asked me he was like what fraternity would that be? I said Omega Psi Phi He said that's good and he threw up the hooks. That's good. I'm the brother So from that moment on I just it was just meant to be I got a 3.5 after that. I got a 3.6 after that I Started a little different though. Yeah With me they are started when I when I first came to EIU being turned out a little bit Yeah, when I first came to EIU it was I would just come here just to go to school Just chill just you know get to know people just you know, give my education, you know But my friend had a y'all know it right? Yeah That's my dog. But no, I had seen it when I was at home that this man all of a sudden just became the bros I'm dang He turned cuz I ain't gonna lie and the way I see my that's my Dean to the way I see him now He changed a lot cuz in high school. He's still in his word you know and That's something I needed in my life. And then at the moment in my life I had recently just lost my parents you feel me and just overall I need that that brotherhood that guidance That knowledge, you know, I'm saying so I appreciate these men so much, you know One shout out to out as a team All the seasons when they have first cross It kind of like took me in like, you know, I'm saying, you know when people got your best interest in my life, you know So I just have people got the same goes They was helping me with my work, you know, make sure I stayed on top of my stuff. Mm-hmm. It was called the undergraduate summit or whatever the case may be there were Internships like internship fair About maybe higher up positions after college. Mm-hmm for the frat not just for the frat but this to better yourself Yeah, and things like that like those things that you learn like you take with you. So like it's definitely a good experience Not just that like networking meeting other people what's the job position, but you never know like My whole thing is like the people you meet like you never know the impact that they can have on your life Mm-hmm.
