Now here's your host, Dr. Faye. Now that we've established what adversity is, it's the friction in life, and some types of adversities that different people experience, hopefully you've been able to see clearly what is truly causing adversity in your life. Now at this point, what I want to direct your attention to is the promises of God, or are the promises of God concerning our lives, and also the strength and power of understanding what you're going through and how this is a well-paid path, and many have gone before you to help you to understand, know, and realize that you too can be an overcomer. So as we focus in today on drawing strength from God's promises, I want to go to one of my favorite books, and that's the book of Joshua, and chapter 1 and verse 9, where the Lord is speaking to Joshua. He tells him, boy, Moses is dead, and now it's time for you to pick up the story here. You don't have too long to grieve because we've got work to do. So he tells him to be strong and of good courage. Don't be afraid, don't be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wheresoever you go, or whithersoever thou goeth, you Elizabethan English-speaking people, wherever you go, God's got you, and he's with you. Have you ever felt like God was with you even in the midst of adversity and friction? Things were crazy, but you knew you were not alone, yeah? Job knew that he was not alone, and Job 42 and verse 10 and 17, it talks about despite his trials, the biblical story of Job, he faced a lot of suffering, including the loss of his wealth, his health, and his family, and despite his trials, Job remained faithful to God and trusted in his sovereignty, God's ability to produce results in spite of us. In the end, God restored Job's fortune and blessed him abundantly, demonstrating the power of perseverance and faith in the midst of adversity. If you will just stand still, you will see the salvation of the Lord. I want to encourage you in that today, regardless of where you are in life and what you're going through, the frictions that are going on, just know you're not alone in it. During World War II, Ms. Corrie and her family hid Jews from the Nazis in their home in the Netherlands. Eventually, they were discovered and sent to concentration camps, and despite the horrors she endured, Corrie held on to her faith and shared the message of God's love and forgiveness with her fellow prisoners. After the war, she continued to spread hope and healing through her ministry and her writings, from Ms. Corrie, a woman who dared to believe God. Nick Vujicic, I believe is the pronunciation. He was born without arms and legs, you know. So Brother Nick faced immense physical and emotional challenges growing up. Despite his disabilities, he found strength in his faith and the promises of God, and he became a motivational speaker and author. He's inspiring millions of people around the world with his message of hope, resilience, and the belief that with God, all things are possible. You've got to watch his videos. Joni Ereksantata, after a diving accident, it left her paralyzed from the neck down, and she was only 17 years old. She struggled with depression and despair. How many of you have gone through that? However, through her relationships with Christ, her relationship with Christ, her relationship with Christ, Joni found purpose and meaning in her suffering. She became a renowned author, artist, and advocate for people with disabilities today, demonstrating the transformative power of God's grace in the midst of adversity. These are just a few of the stories, and I know you have your story. Write it down. Let people know what you've been through. And let me tell you, the story that you've been through, your testimony, the Bible says we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of her testimony. Make it not strange concerning the fiery trials which are to try you, as though some strange thing is going on in your life, because these same afflictions have been accomplished in your brethren, meaning that what you're going through is a well-paced road. Someone has already cut down the trees, honey. Someone has already gone before you and pierced a few sharks and made a way for you to even step out of the boat and walk on the water. Today is the beginning of a new day, and I celebrate you because you are an overcomer and you're overcoming adversity today. I love you, and I appreciate you so much. Thank you for listening to this one woman here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And I bless each and every one of you that are listening, and I bless your families to continue to thrive and not strive.
