In this video, there are two types of listening skills discussed: active listening and reflective listening. There are more types of listening skills and in this video I'm going to talk about the two types of listening skills in more detail and they are Active Listening Skills and Reflective Listening Skills. 1. Active Listening. Active Listening Skill is a type of listening skill where the listener pays complete attention to TH speaker and focuses on the massage being conveyed. In this type of listening, the listener is fully engaged in the conversation and the conversation and is actively processing the information being shared. The eyes involve asking questions, offering feedback, and providing nonverbal cues to the speaker that indicate interest and attentiveness. The goal of active listening is to fully understand the speaker perspective and convey empathy and understand towards their viewpoint. It is an important skill for effective communication because it helps to build trust and positive relationship. 2. Reflective Listening. Reflective Listening is another type of listening skills that involves the listener responding to the speaker in a way that demonstrate understanding and signagement of the speaker's feelings and experiences. In Reflective Listening, the listener reflects on what the speaker is saying and makes an effort to understand the massage fully. This often involves paraphrasing the speaker's words back to them, summarizing key points, and offering responses that show empathy and support. The goal of Reflective Listening is to help the speaker feel heard and understood, which can improve communication and build rapport. This type of listening is particularly useful in situations where the speaker may be sharing intense emotions or personal experiences.
