The speaker is trying out a new version of Audacity called iContrast on their Acer Aspire 3 computer. They mention that the computer has received mixed reviews but it suits their needs. They discuss some features like real-time effects and waves, which are not available on the new version. The speaker plans to download Zoom and continue working on their computer before starting audio recording. They mention having a vet call tonight and anticipate discussing a lot more in the future. Okay, well we're trying this, I got the iContrast on Audacity, running Audacity 3.5, so this is the beta version, it's not 3.4.2, or whatever they're up to right now, and I'm just going to try this, record this, because I have a cloud saving feature I'm going to try, and see if it works and everything, which would be really, really cool, and I can still share this to audio.com. Working on my new computer, my Acer Aspire 3, I've read reviews and they say, yeah, it's not very good, it's a low-budget one, but for what I use it for, it's not that bad, and they say they have real-time effects, I haven't really messed with those. I did use waves, and see, I don't have waves on this new one, see, bass and treble distortion, see I don't know, huh, okay, I don't know if it's on or off, that way, yeah, maybe that's on, I don't know, anyway, that's what's going on, and I'm going to try this, oh, it looks like it's turned on, because my waveform got a whole lot louder, but I'm going to download Zoom and get this worked out, and I'm going to check a few things in Audacity, and I'm going to go from there, and then I'm probably going to start, well, I'm going to work on some more stuff I need to download on this computer, and I'll probably get to audio recording maybe tomorrow, I've got a vet call tonight, and, man, a lot's happened, we're going to be talking about a lot, anyway, I'm just going to stop and check this out.
